Sweeping Through Life

Have you started dreaming about the holidays? Of course the kids have, but have you thought about what you want this season to be. I love this time of year and I get so excited for whats to come. I love the decorate and every year for either Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas I look for something new to add to my decor. I have started looking on Pintrest to for ideas. It's a shame, but some of the stores in my area have already put the Christmas lights and trees in one aisle and all the fall, Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations in another aisle. My wheels are turning on thinking on what I want to add. I am always looking for a deal or what I can make. I am trying to put a plan in place on how to execute this master plan of mine. I cannot wait to share what I come up with. Do you enjoy the holidays? What do you do for your home?

      We had our annual 4th of July cookout this past weekend. I must say it was fun as usual. Friends and family came and we ate, we laughed, played and talked some more. I really enjoy entertaining and spending time with our family and friends, the little Miss surely does too. In our neighborhood we have lots of neighbors who set of fireworks. They usually start several days prior to the 4th so we decided that we join in the fun. Our little display was not anything like the neighbors, but it was satisfying for our crowd and definitely wetted our whistle for what we could get for next year. I really love our annual cookout. It seems to get better each year.  We always add something different and new, but always have the crowd favorites. I have already looked ahead for next year to start planning.  Independence Day is truly a day or independence for our country so that we can reflect and celebrate with those that we love and care ...

I would like to wish my husband a very Happy Father's Day. Miss G and I are very grateful for all that you do for us and love you very much.

I have been looking for some crafty, but easy ideas to do with Miss G this fall and Halloween season and I found this site on Pintrest and wanted to share. I love Christmas time. I really am looking forward to this year since it will be Miss G. first Christmas. I know that she does not know what Christmas is yet, but I still want her to experience it. I try to decorate most areas of the house for the holidays including the bathrooms and bedrooms. I thought that Miss G. bedroom should not be any different. About two weekends ago, JoAnn Fabrics had a Friends and Family day with great sales on holiday fabric and good coupons for extra percentages off. I did not realize how much holiday fabric choices there were. I kinda got overwhelmed, but I finally made some selections. These are the festive fabrics will be turned into crib bedding and change pad covers, making her room ready for the holidays. My mom has been making different changing pad covers for her room since her birth but the sheets are new.
