Exploring The North Market

Last Friday I went exploring the North Market with my co-workers Sean and Lisa. We initially went to have lunch, but found a hold lot more. We decided to have lunch at Hot Chicken Takeover . Can I just say, the chicken was hot and fried just right. I became full  soon, but dd not want to stop eating. The ice tea was the bomb and besides the taste....it was FREE! The ice tea and all condiments are free. You can have your choice of bread or waffle with your your meal. I had the waffle it and it was so worth it. I had so much left over I had enough for my lunch the next day. The prices are pretty reasonable for the size portions that you quick. The food came out quick and the service was friendly. The atmosphere was fun and down home like you having picnic with your family. I definitely would go back again. One the way to the car, we explored some more of the sites and smells in the North Market . My friend Sean, who is such a foodie, shared some of his favorites. I took a ...

Miss G is 9 Months

Size of Miss G.:  Miss G. was 20 pounds at her last check up for a cough she had. She has an upcoming appointment I wonder how much she will weigh then. Clothes: Depending on the clothes maker she is wearing 6-9 months and 9-12 months.  She is still wearing size 3 diapers. Movement: She is really moving. She rolls, grabs and reaches for everything. She just started to crawl. She tries to walk around while holding on to the couch or the ottoman. Baby stuff: Her baby ache comes and goes. She now has two teeth and those little things hurt.  She likes things that make noise or are soft that she put it in her mouth. She really likes to dance and clap her hands.  It is fun to see her exploring and learning. Sleep:   She still takes 2-3 naps per day. Her nap times vary from 45 minutes to 2 hours or more. We still enjoy our long weekend naps. She has been sleeping from 9:30pm-7:00am, sometimes on the weekends she will sleep in until 8:00. She w...

Weekend Sweeps

On Friday ,  went line dancing class and came home and relaxed. Saturday ,  went to a birthday party for my friend Rachel's son Everett. He turned one. He was so cute. It was fun watching all the kids playing at the party. It was nice that during the party that the "big kids" were allowed to watch the Ohio State game. Go Bucks!!!! After the party,  made a trip to Sam's Club and then went meet my friend Bev. We went to El Vaquero to eat, my favorite Mexican restaurant, and Burlington to do one of my baby registries. It was really overwhelming looking at all of the baby stuff. What to get and what not to get. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know, I need to do a registry at a couple of other stores. Sunday , went to church as usual. Then spent the rest of the afternoon gathering furniture, including a crib from various people to start to get the baby's room together. Even though I was not doing a lot of the moving, I was still tired from the days event...

Random Thoughts

Are we surprised that  on Kate Plus 8, the children nanny is walking out this week on the show, because she can not deal with Kate? Why are people rushing for Kate and William to have a baby when they just got married? Why do people leave hateful comments on other peoples blogs? If you do not like what they have to say, don't go to that blog. Should Christians believe in the death penalty? Do you think that fast food restaurants really serve health food choices?

Working It Out

Well, I have been back on my weight loss journey. I am have been working out at least 5 days a week, even it is just 30 minutes on the treadmill. I feel better and my clothes are feeling a little different. My achy, athritic knees are feeling good. When I weighed in on Wednesday at work for the Biggest Loser contest and I had lost 5 pounds. Yeah me!!. I continue to get support from my friends and the group that I am in on Facebook.  I continue to watch my food and the calorie counter app that I have on my Blackberry has really help me keep track of my food and exercise. It really helps me make healthy choice and really know I need to exercicse. I continue to be a work in progress as I continue this journey. Anyone else working it out? How and what are you doing?

Lunchtime Memories

image found The other day I packed my husband's lunch for work ( which is something that I never thought I would be doing on a consistent basis), oh I digress. The lunch consisted of a turkey with Miracle Whip on wheat bread sandwich, a bowl of Bob Evans chicken and noodles soup, an apple, a 100 calorie pack of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and a fruit snack. Well anyway, when I talked to Mr. J during his lunch break he said," I loved my lunch. It brought back such memories."  As he said it, I was thinking what was he talking about and got real silent on the phone. He said, "You do not remember. Do you?" I just said, "Yes, I do", but my tone was not confident and he knew that I did not remember. He said," One time when you surprised me and brought me lunch to work, you brought chicken and noodles soup and a turkey sandwich." I thought awww....he remembered. Once he said it, I remembered. I even remembered what we talked about and that w...
