Lunchtime Memories

image found
The other day I packed my husband's lunch for work ( which is something that I never thought I would be doing on a consistent basis), oh I digress. The lunch consisted of a turkey with Miracle Whip on wheat bread sandwich, a bowl of Bob Evans chicken and noodles soup, an apple, a 100 calorie pack of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and a fruit snack. Well anyway, when I talked to Mr. J during his lunch break he said," I loved my lunch. It brought back such memories."

As he said it, I was thinking what was he talking about and got real silent on the phone. He said, "You do not remember. Do you?" I just said, "Yes, I do", but my tone was not confident and he knew that I did not remember. He said," One time when you surprised me and brought me lunch to work, you brought chicken and noodles soup and a turkey sandwich." I thought awww....he remembered. Once he said it, I remembered. I even remembered what we talked about and that we had to eat in his car since his employer at the time did not allow outside visitors in the building past a certain time. Once I remembered, we began to talk about that past conversation and how much he really appreciated the surprise that day since he was having a crappy day.

It was nice to talk about old times. I was really impressed that he remembered some so simple. I realize that it is just the little things that are appreciated the most. I guess the way to man's heart is through his stomach.

I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5.   My dream bedroom would be       have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

Wedded Wednesday: Wife +Sick Hubby =Medical Degree

I posted  last week about my husband being sick. Even though he is feeling better, he went to his doctor to make sure everything was OK. His doctor in-turn referred him to a specialist, to make sure as well. When I asked him what was the specialist going to do, he said " I do not know. Probably just check me out."  That did not sit well with me, so I decided that I needed to attend the appointment with him. We attended the appointment. He signed in at the front desk and the receptionist asked for the paperwork sent. He of course looked at me......especially since I was the one who fill out the paperwork. I am not sure why I filled out his paperwork, probably because he asked me to, but I never have him fill out my medical paperwork. I digress. We were escorted back to the exam room. The nurse was really nice. As she began to ask for some of the medical information, I found myself answering more of the questions than he was. Maybe I should have been quiet. The doctor eventua...
