Hi Gabby's Mom....

I love my little diva but did I lose my identity when I had her? I get greeted a lot more with the words, "Hi Gabby's mom." instead of just "Hi Dana". It never seemed to bother me as much when people did until now. I just since she is now 4 years old the newest and cuteness in it has kinda worn off.  It just seems like  people say it all the time  now and  all they see is her and not me. What did they think of me prior to having her? Do all women lose their identity when having children? Is this why so many mommys' feel lost or unappreciated? Don't get me wrong, I am proud to be Gabby's mom, but we are two different people and should be acknowledged and cherished for such. How to Pick A Baby Name?

name The hubby and I have been going back and forth on some baby names. It is a really hard decision, when you are giving someone a name that is going to define and effect them for the rest of their life. In doing some research on baby names, I ran across an article on Babble about the best and worst celebrity baby names in 2011. Here are a few of the contenders that made their and Nameberry lists..... Best Willow Sage Hart--- Pink and Corey Hart's daughter Mason Evan Smith--- Ne-Yo's son Arabella -- Ivanka Trump's daughter Haven-- Jessica Alba's daughter Worst Moroccan Cannon -- Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's son Bear Blu Jarecki-- Alicia Silverstone's son Mirabella Bunny--- Bryan Adam's daughter  What is in a name? What do you think? Are there any bad or good names? If you have a child, how did you pick your child's name?

My New Government Name

I will get that within the next few weeks. I wanted to be Mrs. D.J. for a long time, and when I say a long time I mean a long time. At times it seems so final, like I a losing a piece of my identity. I know that I am still Dana, but sometimes that it feels like I have changed into someone else and all I did was change my last name. Well, I guess I did change into someone else, I changed from Ms. to Mrs. It is suppose to be different. It is a new beginning of a new life, no matter how long that I dated Mr. J. The relationship has changed, thus the name has to change with it. So, suck it up Dana, move on..you are still the girl that loves shoes, Coach purses, watching Aqua Teen Hungerforce, thrift store shopping, listening to 80's music and being the wife of Mr. J. I am going to say it loud and pro...
