What Are Your Plans for Valentine's Day?

Valentine's Day is upon us and I am trying to figure out what the hubby and I are going to do. He is really not a big planner. He feels that Valentine's Day is a "Hallmark" holiday. He participates in it because I enjoy it and I really think deep down that he enjoys it to. Who does not enjoy a reason to eat chocolate and other sweet things?  In the past, we have gone out to dinner and either saw a movie or rented one. That would be fine again, but I am trying to figure out if I want make Mr. J a gift or purchase one. I think that a handmade would be more special especially since he is a very simple man. Luckily, I have a few weeks to figure it out. What are you doing for Valentine's Day or do you even celebrate Valentine's Day?

I have no idea what the hubs is planning for Valentine's day. He usually does a pretty good job of making the day special. I know he has something in the works so I will just have to wait and see.

As far as his gift, I've been keeping my ears open to see if he will hint at anything - and he has. So I've been taking mental notes.

Be sure to give us an update after V-day to let us know your final plans.

I really love all the romance that surrounds Valentine’s Day. I think Geof (my husband) only tries to make it nice because he knows that I like it. Last year I got really lucky because he had a work trip to Vegas and I got to tag along. We had the best dinner at Prime and saw “O” at The Bellagio. I don’t know if I’ll have another one like that.

This year we’re thinking of going on a short weekend trip, but it’s still up in the air.

I’m sure you know about this site, but etsy.com has the cutest handmade items if you don’t feel like making anything. I still have no clue what to get for Geof.

You'll have to let us know what you end up doing ;)

The Peach Post--It sounds like your hubby is a planner. I hope you have a wonderful V-day and I will keep you posted.

Jules--I love Vegas. Everytime I have gone to Vegas either the winds are to high or the tickets are sold out for "O" so I could not see it. You lucky girl. That sound like a great V-day. Keep us posted on what you end up doing this year.
J kinda feels the same way as your husband about Valentine's Day--that's it's this contrived Hallmark holiday and that there's all this pressure.

But I love it. Also, it's my grandmother's birthday! So we always have a party for her. :) This year I got her this cute sparkly heart plate and some heart cups.

Wedded Wednesday: Wife +Sick Hubby =Medical Degree

I posted  last week about my husband being sick. Even though he is feeling better, he went to his doctor to make sure everything was OK. His doctor in-turn referred him to a specialist, to make sure as well. When I asked him what was the specialist going to do, he said " I do not know. Probably just check me out."  That did not sit well with me, so I decided that I needed to attend the appointment with him. We attended the appointment. He signed in at the front desk and the receptionist asked for the paperwork sent. He of course looked at me......especially since I was the one who fill out the paperwork. I am not sure why I filled out his paperwork, probably because he asked me to, but I never have him fill out my medical paperwork. I digress. We were escorted back to the exam room. The nurse was really nice. As she began to ask for some of the medical information, I found myself answering more of the questions than he was. Maybe I should have been quiet. The doctor eventua...
