Fill in the Blank Friday

At Lauren's blog, " The Little Things We Do", she does "Fill in the Blank Friday". This week I decided to play along. Here are my answers........

  1. If I could medal in an Olympic event it would be ice skating because I could be elegant and wear great sparkly costumes.
  2. If I were stranded on a deserted island I would island, I would take the hubby, 100 books, flip flops and a 10lb bag of Uncle Ben's rice. Once I was asked this question at a couples party that the hubby and I attended. Everyone said they would take their husband or wife. My hubby even said that he would take me. I said I would take all of my shoes. It was a long ride home that night.
  3. I would rather listen to nails go down a chalk board than listen to one more story about Tiger Woods women everyday.
  4. I am happy about how I decorated my new cubicle (oops...work station) at work. ( Will post pictures next week)
  5. I really should be putting up laundry. I do not mind doing laundry, but I hate putting it up.
  6. One of my favorite things in all the world is finding a great pair of shoes.

Wedded Wednesday: Wife +Sick Hubby =Medical Degree

I posted  last week about my husband being sick. Even though he is feeling better, he went to his doctor to make sure everything was OK. His doctor in-turn referred him to a specialist, to make sure as well. When I asked him what was the specialist going to do, he said " I do not know. Probably just check me out."  That did not sit well with me, so I decided that I needed to attend the appointment with him. We attended the appointment. He signed in at the front desk and the receptionist asked for the paperwork sent. He of course looked at me......especially since I was the one who fill out the paperwork. I am not sure why I filled out his paperwork, probably because he asked me to, but I never have him fill out my medical paperwork. I digress. We were escorted back to the exam room. The nurse was really nice. As she began to ask for some of the medical information, I found myself answering more of the questions than he was. Maybe I should have been quiet. The doctor eventua...

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5.   My dream bedroom would be       have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...
