Weekend Sweeps

Friday

Had a busy day at work. I have a sick client and I have been taking extra care with the case. I was so ready for the weekend. I end up rushing home and did some quick cleaning before my mother-in-law came back to town for a visit. After my cleaning spree, I went to a step show with some of my sorority sisters. After the show I went straight to bed.

Saturday

I took part in a young girls seminar at my church. It was a wonderful experience. I loved working with the girls. They had the cools t-shirt and they gave me one. I can not wait to wear it. I came home for a little nap, before my sororities annual Evening of the Arts Gala that raises money for scholarship for youth who are going into the arts.

The Gala was great. All of my sorors looked great and we raised lots of money. If was a funny evening and my hubby, my mom  and one of my sister-in laws  attended. I am glad that it is over. The event takes lots of work, but it is worth it.

Sunday

Attended church with my mother-in-law. Came home and did a little laundry since I did not have to cook much since the hubby was grilling ribs. Yummy. It was nice to just catch up on a couple of episodes of Oprah I had Tivo while I clipped my coupons from the Sunday paper.

All in all it was a busy, but great weekend. Hope yours was great too.

@ Gwen--- Hope you have a good week as well.

@ Jasmine-- Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you again soon.

@ Faith-- You are right 10.00 is 10.00, which is more money in your pocket. Couponing has kinda become a sport of sorts to see how much I can save. I have started a little stock pile in the basement.

Wedded Wednesday: Wife +Sick Hubby =Medical Degree

I posted  last week about my husband being sick. Even though he is feeling better, he went to his doctor to make sure everything was OK. His doctor in-turn referred him to a specialist, to make sure as well. When I asked him what was the specialist going to do, he said " I do not know. Probably just check me out."  That did not sit well with me, so I decided that I needed to attend the appointment with him. We attended the appointment. He signed in at the front desk and the receptionist asked for the paperwork sent. He of course looked at me......especially since I was the one who fill out the paperwork. I am not sure why I filled out his paperwork, probably because he asked me to, but I never have him fill out my medical paperwork. I digress. We were escorted back to the exam room. The nurse was really nice. As she began to ask for some of the medical information, I found myself answering more of the questions than he was. Maybe I should have been quiet. The doctor eventua...
