Wedded Wednesday: Me Time

Do you think that it is wrong to have "me time"? When speaking to my friend Dani this past weekend, we both talked about the activities that we enjoy with and without our spouses. I have several friends who feel the same as we do, which is that  "me time" is good so that you can have better "we time."  I also have friends who seem to want to do everything with their spouse. I think that if I did everything with the hubby, don't get me wrong I love the hubby, but  I  think I would be crazy or just bored.

I do not know if it is the only child in me or not , but I enjoying being with just me at times. On another point of clarity, I do not want to hang with my hubby's friends all the time and I am sure that he does not always want to be around my girlfriends. I truly feel that having your own space and interest bring freshness and variety to your relationship. Becoming better individuals make you better as a couple. What do you think?

Definitely agree that a little ME makes it better when it's WE. I participate in the 52 weeks of ME challenge on my blog each Friday to find time to do just that, make time for yourself. Maybe check it out??
Couldn't imagine always working to please your husband, children, and others. You should come first.

I agree! When I first got married I would feel guilty for wanting some "me time". I felt that as newlyweds there's this idea that we were supposed to be togethe ALL THE TIME. Now that we've adjusted and figured things out a little better - what works and doesn't for us, we've learned that it's OK to have our separate time. It's makes for a healthier union in my opinion!

I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5.   My dream bedroom would be       have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

Wedded Wednesday: Wife +Sick Hubby =Medical Degree

I posted  last week about my husband being sick. Even though he is feeling better, he went to his doctor to make sure everything was OK. His doctor in-turn referred him to a specialist, to make sure as well. When I asked him what was the specialist going to do, he said " I do not know. Probably just check me out."  That did not sit well with me, so I decided that I needed to attend the appointment with him. We attended the appointment. He signed in at the front desk and the receptionist asked for the paperwork sent. He of course looked at me......especially since I was the one who fill out the paperwork. I am not sure why I filled out his paperwork, probably because he asked me to, but I never have him fill out my medical paperwork. I digress. We were escorted back to the exam room. The nurse was really nice. As she began to ask for some of the medical information, I found myself answering more of the questions than he was. Maybe I should have been quiet. The doctor eventua...
