Weekend Sweeps

On Friday,  I  spent my day off, since it was Veteran's Day,  by going to the dentist, going to the OBGYN and looking at fabric for the baby's room with my mom. When I was out with my mom I found some good deals at Jo-Ann Fabric and Once Upon A Child. After having dinner with my mom, I went and visited with my friend Bev and Alena and met Alena's new baby Taylor. She was really cute and can sleep through anything. Before I got to sleepy, I headed home to bed. Saturday,  attended my sorority chapter meeting and then went to church to have usher practice with my youth ushers. After all of my morning  meetings, I went to Babies R Us and started my baby registry. It was totally overwhelming and I do not think I scanned everything that I might need or want. I still need to research baby monitors and breast pumps. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. I came home was tired from the busy day, and made me a sandwich with some chips and plopped on the couch in time to see The High Low Project on HGtv. When I was do with my meal, I relaxed with the hubby and watched the Christmas movie that was playing on the Hallmark Channel. Sunday, I was still tired from Saturdays activities and slept in until 1:00pm. If felt great. The hubby and I went and had some prego pictures taken. It was fun and we had some good weather. After the little photo shoot we went to dinner at Old Bag of Nails. The shrimp was so yummy. We came home and just relaxed for the rest of the evening.

I had a busy, but productive weekend. Hope you had a good weekend as well.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5.   My dream bedroom would be       have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

Wedded Wednesday: Wife +Sick Hubby =Medical Degree

I posted  last week about my husband being sick. Even though he is feeling better, he went to his doctor to make sure everything was OK. His doctor in-turn referred him to a specialist, to make sure as well. When I asked him what was the specialist going to do, he said " I do not know. Probably just check me out."  That did not sit well with me, so I decided that I needed to attend the appointment with him. We attended the appointment. He signed in at the front desk and the receptionist asked for the paperwork sent. He of course looked at me......especially since I was the one who fill out the paperwork. I am not sure why I filled out his paperwork, probably because he asked me to, but I never have him fill out my medical paperwork. I digress. We were escorted back to the exam room. The nurse was really nice. As she began to ask for some of the medical information, I found myself answering more of the questions than he was. Maybe I should have been quiet. The doctor eventua...
