Ms. G is 4 months....Already!!

Miss G. turn 4 months on the June 3rd. Here is her update.

Size of Miss G.:  At the last doctors appointment, Miss G. was  14 1/2 pounds. She was 24 1/2 inches long. The doctor said that she was right on target.

Clothes: Her 0-3 month clothes are "skin tight" to say the least. I still put her in a few of them when we are just around the house, but I really need to let them go. She mostly wears 3-6 months.

She is still wearing size 1 diapers, but by this weekend she will be moving to a 2, even though we still have about 15 or more 1 diapers left. Ugh.

Movement: She is still enjoying the exploration of her hands.

She has really has been wanting to sit up more and fusses at times when she can not sit up. The purchase of a Bumbo  has been really helpful.

She is still smiling and laughing alot. The hubby and I are just eating it up.

Baby stuff: The cradle cap and baby acne has made a reappearance but is clearing up.

She loves to splash during her bath time, especially in her baby spa tub.

She is still a spitty baby, so having a bib on at all times is essential. I try to keep a bib on that matches her outfit to try to keep her cute.

Sleep: She takes 2-3 naps per day. Her nap times vary from 45 minutes to 2 hours or more. She is definitely a cat napper. She has been sleeping from 10:30 or 11:00pm to about 6:30 or 7:00 am at night, which is great.

Feeding: She is still breast feed with supplementation of milk. She is drink 6 ounces but will probably move to 6 1/2 within the next week or so. She started rice cereal last week and I think that we are going to just do cereal for a few weeks, then try a veggies. I am going to try to make baby food. If you have any good recipes let me know.

Milestones: She has started to discover her feet and is loving sucking on her hands.

Baby Gear: She still likes her swing and Boppy. She just got a Bumbo and likes sitting up in it. We have tried teethers and a few rattles this past month and sometimes she is interested in them. I think that she is still trying to figure them out.

Moment of the Month: The 5 minute laugh session she had one day when I was just talking to her.

Mommy Moments: I am enjoying everyday with her especially since I have returned to work. Our evening routine allows us to spend lots of time together and I am enjoying every minute.

Wedded Wednesday: Wife +Sick Hubby =Medical Degree

I posted  last week about my husband being sick. Even though he is feeling better, he went to his doctor to make sure everything was OK. His doctor in-turn referred him to a specialist, to make sure as well. When I asked him what was the specialist going to do, he said " I do not know. Probably just check me out."  That did not sit well with me, so I decided that I needed to attend the appointment with him. We attended the appointment. He signed in at the front desk and the receptionist asked for the paperwork sent. He of course looked at me......especially since I was the one who fill out the paperwork. I am not sure why I filled out his paperwork, probably because he asked me to, but I never have him fill out my medical paperwork. I digress. We were escorted back to the exam room. The nurse was really nice. As she began to ask for some of the medical information, I found myself answering more of the questions than he was. Maybe I should have been quiet. The doctor eventua...
