7 Months

It is hard to believe that she has been here for 7 months. Here is her update....

Size of Miss G.:  Miss G. was 17 1/2 pounds and 26 inches long at her last doctors visit, I am sure she weighs more than that now. I wont find out again how much she weighs until her 9 month check up.

Clothes: No more 3 months. She is wearing some 3-6 months, but mainly wearing 6 or 6-9 months.

She is still wearing size 3 diapers even though they are a little bit. Size 2 are thongs on her.

Movement: She is really moving. She likes to roll and grab for everything. She is sitting up on her own. She still enjoys playing with her feel and her hands. She likes to stand up and dance or "huck-a-buck" as my mother would say.

Baby stuff: She still has some baby acne. It even has nerve to move to her chest area. Yuck.

She is teething. No teeth have broken through yet, but I am sure one or two will be popping through soon.

She is exploring more toys. She likes things that make noise or are soft that she put it in her mouth. It is fun to see her exploring and learning.

Sleep:  She still takes 2-3 naps per day. Her nap times vary from 45 minutes to 2 hours or more. We still enjoy our long weekend naps.

She has been sleeping from 9:30pm-7:00am, sometimes on the weekends she will sleep in until 8:00. She will fall asleep around 8:00 pm , but I wake her up briefly to put on her night diaper and give her a 4 oz bottle.

Feeding: She is now drinking 8 ounces of milk and still nursing. She is exploring new foods like pears, nectarines, peaches and a mix of peas and carrots. She eats cereal and a fruit in the morning and a veggie and fruit at night.
Baby Mum-Mum

She has started trying the rice biscuits called Baby Mum-Mum. She loves them.I do not know if it is the taste or the fact that she can hold them and feed them to herself.

Milestones: She has started to roll from front to back and from back to front. Spending more time on her belly and raising herself up with her arms. Sometimes she gets frustrated when she is on her belly and cries until she gets assistance.

Baby Gear: Loving dressing her up in her pretty dresses for church on Sunday.

phone
She now has her own cell phone. I swear she is having conversations on it when she is not licking it.

Moment of the Month: Watching her have a conversation with another 7 month old at child care. It was kinda funny, especially when she looked up at me to see me watching her

Mommy Moments: Just spending time with her cuddling and playing are the best.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5.   My dream bedroom would be       have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

Wedded Wednesday: Wife +Sick Hubby =Medical Degree

I posted  last week about my husband being sick. Even though he is feeling better, he went to his doctor to make sure everything was OK. His doctor in-turn referred him to a specialist, to make sure as well. When I asked him what was the specialist going to do, he said " I do not know. Probably just check me out."  That did not sit well with me, so I decided that I needed to attend the appointment with him. We attended the appointment. He signed in at the front desk and the receptionist asked for the paperwork sent. He of course looked at me......especially since I was the one who fill out the paperwork. I am not sure why I filled out his paperwork, probably because he asked me to, but I never have him fill out my medical paperwork. I digress. We were escorted back to the exam room. The nurse was really nice. As she began to ask for some of the medical information, I found myself answering more of the questions than he was. Maybe I should have been quiet. The doctor eventua...
