Kitchen Freshen Up

It has been 2 years since I have painted my kitchen walls yellow and I think that it is time for a little change. I have fallen in love with grey paint since I painted my office grey. Here are a few pics I found that show the look that I am going for in my kitchen.

I really like this kitchen, since my kitchen currently has black counter tops and white cabinets. It definitely gives me an idea of what the room would look like.

I like this one because the island is a darker shade of grey. I have always wanted to paint my kitchen island a different color and this gives me an opportunity to do it.

My plan to get this done before the end of the month, so that we can start on the downstairs bathroom that we have talked about doing since we have moved into the house 6 years ago. I will post about my progress in the kitchen.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. Wedded Wednesday: Thanksgiving Traditions

With the holidays coming,  I am thinking about how I want to spend them with the hubby. We do the same thing every year for Thanksgiving and make a road trip to spend it with his family. I usually go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving starting at 3:00am and usually come home and sleep the rest of the day. I was looking at starting some sort of new traditions on the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we can do for years to come. Maybe like putting up the Christmas tree (this is my vote), taking an annual holiday photo, doing some shopping together or maybe doing something relaxing like getting a couples massage. Of course, we will have to throw in some football and lots of left overs whatever we decide to do.Building new traditions, will be the traditions that will continue in our family  and define the holidays for years to come.  Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
