LOVED

My daughter woke up this morning and handed me this....
an English muffin that she toasted, buttered and wrapped in this napkin that she wrote on. It was so cute and I really appreciated it. It was nice to have her do something for me, but then I began to think what does she want. Then I felt bad for thinking that. I think that we all sometimes over think things and don't savor the moment of what has just happened. Once I stopped over thinking it, I was able to appreciate the time and care that went in to her doing that for me this morning. I was able to appreciate her in my life and how much I loved her. I finally realized that she was showing me love in her own way. It is sometimes the simple things that make you feel special.

When I finally got to work and was able to enjoy the fruits of her labor. It was not toasted as long as I wanted to be. There was a little too much butter on it for my liking. The lovely purple marker had bled through to top of the muffin. You know what, I ate it anyway. She made it for me and I appreaciate it. I have that little napkin with her handwriting on it hang on my cubicle wall now to remind me each and everyday how much I am loved.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. Wedded Wednesday: Thanksgiving Traditions

With the holidays coming,  I am thinking about how I want to spend them with the hubby. We do the same thing every year for Thanksgiving and make a road trip to spend it with his family. I usually go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving starting at 3:00am and usually come home and sleep the rest of the day. I was looking at starting some sort of new traditions on the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we can do for years to come. Maybe like putting up the Christmas tree (this is my vote), taking an annual holiday photo, doing some shopping together or maybe doing something relaxing like getting a couples massage. Of course, we will have to throw in some football and lots of left overs whatever we decide to do.Building new traditions, will be the traditions that will continue in our family  and define the holidays for years to come.  Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
