Things to Do....3 Books Read

I do not think that this was a really fair"thing to do", since I love to read. I tend to read more in the summer when there is nothing on TV. I have already recapped one of the books that I read" Basketball Jones" by E. Lynn Harris. Click here to see what I say about it. E.Lynn Harris was one of my favorite authors and I am sad to say that he passed away in this past weekend. He will truly be missed in the literary world.

The second book that I read this summer was, "Queen of Babble Gets Hitched" by Meg Cabot. I happened to walk upon this book at the library and the cover was interesting so I checked out the book. After reading it, it made me want to read the other ones in the series. I did not read them in the right order, this one was the actually the third one in the series. The story follows a girl named Lizzie's journey through her romantic relationship between two best friends, her budding wedding dress business and her wild family. It is a light hearted and funny summer read.

The last book in my three was " A Change is Going to Come" by Jacqueline Thomas. This book is christian fiction book. It follows 4 women that work a social service agency, who vary in ages and how one of them becoming sick brings them together in different ways but also strengthens their faith. I enjoyed this book and it was a quick read.

I just went to the library and picked up a few new books, I will catch you up on what I am reading when I figure out which one that I am going to start with. Happy reading!!!

I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5.   My dream bedroom would be       have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

Wedded Wednesday: Wife +Sick Hubby =Medical Degree

I posted  last week about my husband being sick. Even though he is feeling better, he went to his doctor to make sure everything was OK. His doctor in-turn referred him to a specialist, to make sure as well. When I asked him what was the specialist going to do, he said " I do not know. Probably just check me out."  That did not sit well with me, so I decided that I needed to attend the appointment with him. We attended the appointment. He signed in at the front desk and the receptionist asked for the paperwork sent. He of course looked at me......especially since I was the one who fill out the paperwork. I am not sure why I filled out his paperwork, probably because he asked me to, but I never have him fill out my medical paperwork. I digress. We were escorted back to the exam room. The nurse was really nice. As she began to ask for some of the medical information, I found myself answering more of the questions than he was. Maybe I should have been quiet. The doctor eventua...
