I love fall, but I am not ready to turn my furnace on yet. It makes for good sleeping weather.  The start of autumn signals that the holidays are right around the corner.  September is the kick off to having 1-2 holidays a month off from work. Yeah!! Autumn makes me want to go to the pumpkin patch.  How does the start of autumn make you feel?

Fill In 1.   Right now the weather where I live is     cool. It is a welcomed change for all the heat and humidity that we have been having all summer . 2.   The best piece of advice I've been given is  I really do not know . It is probably something that my mom has said to me, but she has said so much good stuff it is hard to narrow it down. 3.   My most favorite person in all the world is   a hard one. I have several favorite people, but I have to say my favorite person at the moment is my little Miss G. (sorry honey. She makes a day every day. 4.  If I were to have a "mission statement" for my life, it would be      " Be open." With that simple statement it means, be open to life, God, new experiences or anything. You never know what is coming your way . 5.  My most favorite item in my closet is   a white t-shirt. I love a bright white t-shirt. You can dress it up or down and still be relaxed. 6.  The best cure for a bad day is 

party I have been thinking about Miss G. first birthday party. Yes , it is in February and it only September. I have a few ideas swirling, but nothing is finalized yet. Heck I have several months to plan, so gathering ideas this far in advanced gives me a little lead way. I have seen some cute kids parties from some fellow bloggers, such as Hello Patti ,  From Marriage and Motherhood and Heather Drive .  I am looking forward to planning my little ones first b-day. I am probably more excited than her. Have you had a great kids party? If so share.

  It is hard to believe that she has been here for 7 months. Here is her update.... Size of Miss G.:  Miss G. was 17 1/2 pounds and 26 inches long at her last doctors visit, I am sure she weighs more than that now. I wont find out again how much she weighs until her 9 month check up.  Clothes: No more 3 months. She is wearing some 3-6 months, but mainly wearing 6 or 6-9 months. She is still wearing size 3 diapers even though they are a little bit. Size 2 are thongs on her. Movement: She is really moving. She likes to roll and grab for everything. She is sitting up on her own. She still enjoys playing with her feel and her hands. She likes to stand up and dance or "huck-a-buck" as my mother would say. Baby stuff: She still has some baby acne. It even has nerve to move to her chest area. Yuck.  She is teething. No teeth have broken through yet, but I am sure one or two will be popping through soon.  She is exploring more toys. It has been 2 years since I have painted my kitchen walls yellow and I think that it is time for a little change. I have fallen in love with grey paint since I painted my office grey. Here are a few pics I found that show the look that I am going for in my kitchen. Indulgy Garden Web I really like this kitchen, since my kitchen currently has black counter tops and white cabinets. It definitely gives me an idea of what the room would look like. GAP Interiors I like this one because the island is a darker shade of grey. I have always wanted to paint my kitchen island a different color and this gives me an opportunity to do it.  My plan to get this done before the end of the month, so that we can start on the downstairs bathroom that we have talked about doing since we have moved into the house 6 years ago . I will post about my progress in the kitchen.

I am loving Michelle Obama's speech and her fab dress. Michelle I am loving watching the democratic convention. campaign I  am loving purchasing my snacks at Big Lots. Great prices and unique food items. I am loving reading other blogs.  I am loving that this week is a 4 day week. I am loving that little one.
