LOVED

My daughter woke up this morning and handed me this.... an English muffin that she toasted, buttered and wrapped in this napkin that she wrote on. It was so cute and I really appreciated it. It was nice to have her do something for me, but then I began to think what does she want. Then I felt bad for thinking that. I think that we all sometimes over think things and don't savor the moment of what has just happened. Once I stopped over thinking it, I was able to appreciate the time and care that went in to her doing that for me this morning. I was able to appreciate her in my life and how much I loved her. I finally realized that she was showing me love in her own way. It is sometimes the simple things that make you feel special. When I finally got to work and was able to enjoy the fruits of her labor. It was not toasted as long as I wanted to be. There was a little too much butter on it for my liking. The lovely purple marker had bled through to top of the muffin. You know wh...

Monday Murmurings: Listen, Pray, Love

This  past weekend my husband and I attend our church's couples retreat. Even though he is not a member there (yet) when he has gone to church he always attended there. I must say that I really enjoyed the retreat and the time that we had together alone. We were are able to connect with each over through conversations with other couple of all different years as well reconnect with each other. It was nice to hear that other couples have struggles and obtain feedback on what worked for them and may some of it will work for us. There are 3 things that I learned from this weekend, listen, pray and love. Listen. I think that I have always listen to my husband, but I do not think that I have listen to the point that I have processed what I was hearing to respond appropriately. The couples there who has 20, 30 one that had 50 all said that you have to learn to listen to your spouse and that listening is just not hearing what they said but it also includes knowing their body language ...

Valentine's Day Wrap Up

Miss G. had her Valentine's Day party on Wednesday at the childcare since she only attends 3 days a week. She did enjoy some holiday treats with a heart shaped balloon and sucker after her morning doctors appointment. With all the recuperating from the holidays and all the bad weather we have been having  the hubby and I really have not had a date night, so this was the perfect opportunity. I decided to take the whole day off since the little one had a doctors appointment in the morning, which also allowed us to go early enough to beat the crowds. We went to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner and amazingly only had a 15  minute wait. I am glad we got there when we did because it wait was almost 25-45 minutes when we were being seated. It was nice having a meal, without having to order for someone on a kids menu. When we were leaving the restaurant, it was snowing, of course. Then I received an alert on my phone that we were under a level 1 snow emergency, but I ...

It My Anniversary.......

Today is my 4th wedding anniversary. It is a time to reflect on what has happened and what it yet to come. I love my hubby and look forward to many more years together. As part of my reflection on one of the happiest days of my life here is a photo montage of my wedding pictures. Enjoy!!!

Wedded Wednesday: Wedding Inspiration

With tomorrow being my 4th wedding anniversary, I wanted to share a video that kinda inspired me. This romantic slide show is of Keisha Williams and Robert Gray wedding engagement, ( I wonder whatever happened to them). The photography was done by Ross Oscar Knight photography . When I heard the song that was played during it, I had to find it. I searched for months for the song and then I finally found it. The song is " I Need You" by Shekinah Glory. I loved the song so much I actually used it as the song that myself and my wedding party went down the aisle on. I hope that you love the slide show as well as the song.
