Wordless Wednesday

Music Monday: Kirk Franklin

Hope you are having a happy Monday and Memorial Day. I thought that this song would be fitting for the day. Enjoy!

Me and New

I am going to see New Edition tonight and I am so excited. I have enjoyed this group since I was a little and I look forward to seeing them every chance I get. I wanted to share a song to get me ready for the fun.

Music Monday: N Sync

This is one of my favorite songs from N Sync. I really miss them (tear). Happy Monday   .

Finally...... Miss G. Room is Complete

Well, I finally finished Miss G.'s room, which is kinda sad since she has been here almost 4 months now. I have been collecting letter for her room, since I found out I was pregnant. I got some at the craft store that I painted, at the flea market and some of them were painted and colored by the participates at one of my baby . I just need to figure out how to get her letters up on the wall, but it seemed so complicated and to be honest measuring is not my forte. I looked at Heather's wall at Heather Drive to see how she did the letters in her daughters play room, but it still seemed overwhelming. I just decided to put them randomly on the wall in her room. I think that look pretty good and I like the way that they vary in size and color. I just wanted to share that I got one more thing off my list.

Fill in the Blank Friday

1.   Something that is very near and dear to my heart is, family. Without family you do not have anything   . 2.        Everyday   is good cause to celebrate  . 3.   The most fun I ever had was   when I drive to the regional conferences with my sorority sisters . 4.   True friends are   ones that accept you for you . 5.  Something that makes me terribly happy is        cracking jokes with the hubby and watching the little one sleep. 6.  A good way to spend a sunny day is      taking a walk outside . 7.   My favorite celebratory food is   ice cream .   To see other blogger list check out, the little things we do .

Music Monday: Jagged Edge

The countdown continues. Here is another boy band that I wanted to share. I hope that you have a great Monday and remember that there are only 4 days until the weekend.

Music Monday: 112

Since I am going to see New Edition at the end of the month, I have decided to make Music Mondays for the month of May...the month of the boy band. Enjoy and have a Happy Monday .

Dedication

In my church babies are dedicated to the Lord and not baptized. They are baptized when they are ready to dedicate their lives to the Lord. Miss G. will be dedicated at the end of the month. Ever since I received the date from my Pastor I  have been planning the dinner afterward. It is just going to be family and a few close friends at the dinner. I have decided to go with a purple and green theme party. credits: pom poms , straws , popcorn and cake I have already ordered the straws. My sister-in-law is going to make the cake for the event. I found a recipe to make the popcorn on this site and it seems really easy to make as well as yummy. The pom poms are from Martha Stewart, but I think that I can make these cheaply without purchasing them.  I plan on also making some G cookie cut outs, as favors. I am still planning the menu, but I think I have the decor under control. I am looking forward to my little ones special day. Even though she may not remember it, it will always b

Miss G is 3 Months

Size of Miss G.:  At the last doctors appointment, Miss G. was  10 pounds 8 ounces. She was 21 1/2 inches long. The doctor stated that she was in her 50% and right on track. She goes for a doctors appointment at the end of the month so we will see how much bigger she has gotten. Clothes: I realized last week that her newborn clothing is snug. She is currently wearing some 0-3 months but most wearing 3-6 months. She is still wearing size 1 diapers.  Movement: She discovered her hands this past week. She is always putting them in her mouth or has them crossed on her chest.  She has been trying to pull herself up as to try to sit up on her own. What a big girl. She has lots and lots of smiles for us. She has been smiling alot and giggling. It is so cute and make us smile alot too.  Baby stuff: She still has a few spots of baby acne but most of it has cleared up.  She loves to splash during her bath time . She has always been a spitty baby, so we use lots and lo

Miss G. Essentials

I wrote a post a  few weeks ago about some of the things that I thought were good to have for my little one. Here is a list of a few more..   I am nursing, but I have to supplement with formula for my little one to be satisfied. We started out with another brand of bottle but it seemed to get be allowing Ms. G. to suck into much air which was giving her lots of gas and making her uncomfortable, so I switched. It was a good switch. The Dr. Browns' bottles allow her to suck in less air as well as still encouraging her to nurse.   Yes this is a mini-fridge . We have a mini-fridge in her room. After my friend told me the story of her almost falling down the stairs with her baby trying to get a bottle in the middle of the night, I decided to get a fridge. It has worked out very well for us and when we are done with it the hubby can put it in the man cave.  A bottle warmer. I received this Munchkin bottle warmer as a baby shower gift. We have it in our upstairs bathroo
