Happy Halloween .....Have a creepy and fun Monday !!!!

Sunday Inspiration: Think Pink!!!

As we come to the end of October, we have celebrated another breast cancer awareness month. Ladies, take care of your breast and check them every month. Find a local organization to volunteer with, do a breast cancer walk or lick a Yoplait yogurt lid to help with the cause. Please remember all the women, who could be your sister, your mother, your friend, as they continue in their fight against this ugly disease. Breast cancer awareness month is not just in October, but every day of the year.

24 Weeks

I swear that I looked bigger last week, but it might be because I had on a stripped shirt. Who knows. Here is this weeks update.  Size of Baby: Baby J is the length of an ear of corn. Still pretty small in size, but getting bigger each week. Maternity Clothes: Wearing whatever is comfortable.  Gender: Still don't know. Maybe I will be able to see in a week or so. Movement: Baby J is a little mover, which is a good thing. Sometimes when Baby J moves kinda gives a weird feeling in my throat. Sleep: Getting more energy back, but some days I really just want to sleep. What I Miss: Being able to go, go, go. I try to complete task around the house, but I have to do a little and then stop and start again. I end up getting the task done but it just takes me a little bit longer.

Weekend Sweeps and a Hodgepodge of Other Stuff

On Friday , went to line dancing class and then came home and relaxed.  Saturday ,  slept in until 2:00pm and it was wonderful. I eventually got up and went to see my friend Lynnette and her new baby Maya. She is really cute. It gave me a glimpse of what motherhood is going to entail on a day to day basis. Came home and really wanted something sweet and text the hubby to get me a piece of Crazy Craig's Carrot Cake Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory while he was out. He said that he told the sales clerk that it was for a pregnant woman and they gave me extra whipped cream on the side. It was so good and a great way to end the evening.  Sunday , went to church and ushered. Came home and did a little housework and some cooking that would last for the week. Laid on the couch and cleared some shows from my Tivo. After the hubby got done with working on his car, we just chilled on the couch and watched some more TV. It was a good weekend, but it went so quick. I hope that you had a

Music Monday: Mariah Carey

Happy Monday .....I thought that this song was appropriate since it was an oldie and Mariah Carey had this played as she gave birth to her twins. When they played it in her and Nick Canon's interview with Barbara Walters, I found myself singing it.  I hope you enjoy and have a great day.

23 Weeks

Size of Baby: Baby J is the size of a mango. Baby J is about 11 inches long. Baby J is starting to hear now. I have been putting my headphones on my belly for Baby J to listen to some classical music. Maternity Clothes: Started wearing more stretchy stuff. Gender: Still don't know. Maybe I will be able to see in a week or so. Movement: Definitely feeling movement.

Weekend Sweep and a Sweeping Hodgepodge

On Friday , I got off work and went and visited my little cousin Jisiah. He is so cute and I enjoyed my visited with him. After my visit I went home and quickly packed and hit the road to my sorority meeting. It was the first time that I stayed out in a hotel by myself out of town, and I must say that I do not liked it. Luckily if anything happened my husbands family was near by. . Saturday , I woke up earlier to get to my area meeting for my sorority were I was going to be presenting on our AIDS/HIV initiative. It was nice to see all of my sorority sisters for near and far and I really obtained some important information. After the meeting I went and visited with my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law before I got back on the road home. I got home in good time and was able to spend some time with the hubby before falling asleep on the couch. Sunday , started out as usual with attending church. After church, I went and did some grocery shopping. Once home I prepared Sunday dinner and al

Music Monday: Journey

Here is another great song from this great band. I hope that you enjoy and have a great Monday!

22 Weeks

Size of Baby: Baby J is still the length of a carrot which is about 10 1/2 inches long. Maternity Clothes: Started where more stretchy stuff. Gender: Tried to see on this past Monday but I drank to much orange juice before the ultrasound and could not really see. I think that we kinda know what it is, but will find out for sure in a few weeks. I do not think that I am going to post what the sex of the baby is since my mom wants to be surprised. That is going to be hard. Movement: Definitely feeling movement.

Wedded Wednesday: Help Me!!!

Since becoming pregnant, I have realized that there are something that I have had to modify doing around the house or need total assistance with completing. It kinda sucks that I need help with so many things. I have always been very independent so it is hard to give up some control. Everyone keeps stating that I need to enjoy it, but it is kinda hard when you want to get things done. I started  a few weeks ago sending text   or leaving notes for the hubby asking for things that I need him to do such as taking the laundry basket down to the basement for me or making sure that all his dishes are in the sink for me to wash at once so that I can get some housework done when I come home from work so that house does not look like a total wreck and still be able to rest a little. Each day he is doing a little bit more and more with assisting me without all of the text and notes, which is a good thing. Not to say he does not help around the house, but he is just helping me a little more with

Weekend and a Remix

Weekend sweeps......what weekend sweeps. It was a busy weekend. On Friday , I attend a scrapbooking fellowship at my church. I was not able actually scrapbook , since I was preparing for Saturdays events. I did have a chance to assist my mom with my her page and enjoyed some good food. I came home and decorated some cupcakes to take with me to Saturdays event. I did eventually made it to bed and it felt so good.  Saturday ,   I woke up early to get to church for the women's fellowship seminar that I was the chair of. I was pleased that everyone who attended seemed to enjoy the classes that were offered and the fellowship that was had. After such a busy morning, I was ran a few errands and was ready to get home to relax. I thought that I was going to watch the OSU game with the hubby, but I got in the

Baby Decor

Since my weekend was not really that exciting and I really did not have much to share in my Weekend Sweeps, I decided to share some of the baby room decor photos that  I like. Baby Room Design This Chic  Cheap Nursery is so calming. I really like the color scheme. It might be because we just painted our guest room in this color grey. Baby Bassinets Dream Nursery As you can tell, I really do not want some thing that too "kiddy". I would like a baby room that reflects the rest of the house, but also is calming to the baby. Since we do not know what Baby J is yet, we have not really looked at colors yet.  We have a little time with the room, but I would like to have it done by no later than December. We will see.
