Music Monday: Outkast

Happy Monday .  Here is another song from Outkast that will surely get you moving this Monday morning.  Have a good day.

37 Weeks

My hubby takes a horrible picture. I am totally just belly and butt. Size of Baby:   According to Baby Center ,is she is considered full-term. Baby J should be about 6 pounds, which I am sure she is more than that now since she was 5 pounds 9 ounces two weeks ago.She should be about 19 inches long, like a stalk of Swiss chard. At this point, her hair has formed, but we could not tell on the last ultrasound. Maternity Clothes: If it stretches it gets worn. Gender: Baby J is a girl . Movement: Baby J is trying to move all my organs out the way to make room for her little body. I guess she is thinking it is her space at the moment and she needs more room.

Baby Shower

I had my baby shower with my family and friends at the beginning of this month.  The theme for the shower was, "She is About to Pop". I really enjoyed myself and had a good time. Here are some of the pics...... Here I am with the lovely ladies who put my baby shower together. Thanks so much. The cake was from my favorite bakery Reesch and the popcorn was the favor for the shower. It was so good and was a big hit. Enjoying the meal with my mother-in-law and my mother.  Baby J  and I were really blessed with all the clothes, diapers and little things that she received. All the gifts will be put to good use in a few weeks.

Happy Monday. Hope you are having a good start to your week, if not hope this song gives you some inspiration.

Baby J's Closet Dividers

I saw an idea for  baby closet dividers.  At first, I was going to purchase some on eBay,  but  I stumbled upon some other crafty bloggers who were making their own, so I decided to give it a shot. I bought these wooden tag holders at Michael's  for $.50 a piece. Of course, I used my weekly Michael's coupon. I used regular acrylic paint in colors that match Baby J's room. Here is the finished product. I just added coordinating ribbon to the top to hang on the closet bar. I think that not only are they cute but will be really helpful.

Ok....Baby J

Dear Baby J, You gave mommy quite a scare yesterday when we went to one of our weekly stress test. I could feel you moving but we could not find your little heartbeat. I kinda snapped at the tech when she stated, " I can not find the heartbeat." I suggested to her that might not be the best wording to tell a pregnant lady with hormones raging. So, the doctor had me go to the hospital to make sure that you were OK. As I drove, to the hospital I called  your daddy crying hysterically. I admit that it may not have been the safest way driving but I wanted to get to the hospital as soon as possible to make sure that you were OK.  Once at the hospital, the nurse, Lisa, made me feel a little more relaxed. As soon as she put the monitor on my belly, I heard your little heartbeat. I felt a little better as soon as I heard it. As usual you started moving to try to get the monitor off. Your movement made me feel much, much better. After the stress test, I got to see you on an ultrasou

Happy  Monday and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Hope as you are enjoying your day off that you all remember all that Dr. King did to change this world. Enjoy!!

35 Weeks

Size of Baby:   According to Baby Center , Baby J  doesn't have much room to maneuver now since they are  over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds, about the size of a honeydew . Baby J is right on track as of the last ultrasound since they are 5 pounds 9 ounces as of Thursday. Baby J's kidneys are fully developed now, and their liver can process some waste products. Maternity Clothes: Stretch, stretch, stretch. Gender: I will tell you now..... Baby J is a girl . Movement: Lots, lots and lots of movement. She must be trying to make room in her little tight space, since I get lots of kicks.

Tag I'm It!!!

Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer. 4. You have to choose 11 people to tag and link them on the post. 5. Go to their page and tell them you have linked him or her. 1. What’s the #1 most played song on your iPod?  Unfaithful by Rhianna 2. What chore do you absolutely hate doing?  Laundry. To Cloth or Not To Cloth?

gDiapers I would like to try using cloths diapers for Baby J. I was referred to this system call gDiapers since they have flushable inserts or you can use cloth inserts. The hubby is not to sure about using the cloth diapers, so I will have a supply of regular diapers in the house as well. Every time I say I want to try cloth diapers to my friends who are parents, they either look at me like a deer in headlights or chuckle at me. I just want to give it a try, what do you think? If you have a baby or had a baby did you use cloth or regular diapers?

Weekend Sweeps

On Friday , was the end of a busy week. I have been trying to get things in order before maternity leave at work. I ended the evening by having some yummy pizza with my friend Bev and having some good conversation. Saturday , I held usher practice at church with my youth ushers. I had my family and friends baby shower. It was so much fun, but I think that I was a little cranky because I was tired. I appreciate all that my friends did for me. I will post pics and more later. After the shower since my MIL and SIL's were in-town for the shower, they came to the house for few before getting back on the road. Got to finally  relax with the hubby after all the excitement and spent the rest of the evening watching TV and talking about the stuff we were blessed with at the shower. Sunday , I attended church as usual. I think that I did a little too much on Saturday and was tired after service so I came home and laid down for a few.  I called the hubby before he left work and I asked h

Happy Monday ......Here is a catchy tune that will keep you moving on this day. Enjoy!!!

I Want One!!

Zebra       Aqua       Damask I want one of these maternity hospital gowns. I think that that they are really cute and stylish. I am sure they will look great in pictures for Baby J's arrival. I do understand that I will only have the gown for a little bit in the hospital, but it might be comfortable to wear around the house when I am home with the baby. They are kinda of expensive, maybe I can get my mom to make me one. Not like she has not already been chained to the sewing machine making for stuff for the baby's room, what is one more project. We will see.

How to Pick A Baby Name?

name The hubby and I have been going back and forth on some baby names. It is a really hard decision, when you are giving someone a name that is going to define and effect them for the rest of their life. In doing some research on baby names, I ran across an article on Babble about the best and worst celebrity baby names in 2011. Here are a few of the contenders that made their and Nameberry lists..... Best Willow Sage Hart--- Pink and Corey Hart's daughter Mason Evan Smith--- Ne-Yo's son Arabella -- Ivanka Trump's daughter Haven-- Jessica Alba's daughter Worst Moroccan Cannon -- Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's son Bear Blu Jarecki-- Alicia Silverstone's son Mirabella Bunny--- Bryan Adam's daughter  What is in a name? What do you think? Are there any bad or good names? If you have a child, how did you pick your child's name?
