Ok....Baby J

Dear Baby J,

You gave mommy quite a scare yesterday when we went to one of our weekly stress test. I could feel you moving but we could not find your little heartbeat. I kinda snapped at the tech when she stated, " I can not find the heartbeat." I suggested to her that might not be the best wording to tell a pregnant lady with hormones raging. So, the doctor had me go to the hospital to make sure that you were OK. As I drove, to the hospital I called  your daddy crying hysterically. I admit that it may not have been the safest way driving but I wanted to get to the hospital as soon as possible to make sure that you were OK.

Once at the hospital, the nurse, Lisa, made me feel a little more relaxed. As soon as she put the monitor on my belly, I heard your little heartbeat. I felt a little better as soon as I heard it. As usual you started moving to try to get the monitor off. Your movement made me feel much, much better. After the stress test, I got to see you on an ultrasound where your lungs, heart, movement and fluid were checked and all looked good. I was so relieved once you checked out OK.

I have come to realize that you have your own personality and you surely like things a certain way. All I need you to do is cooperate with the doctors and nurses that are trying to make sure you are healthy. Please do not scare mommy like that again, I would really appreciate it.

I will see you in a few weeks and mommy loves you.

Love,
Mommy

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5.   My dream bedroom would be       have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

On the Road Again.....

It was between Chicago and the state of Pennsylvania. Well....the state of Pennsylvania won out for our little trip for our first anniversary. It is a shorter drive than going Chicago, especially since we do not want to spend most of our mini-vacation in the car. I have a co-worker that lived in Pennsylvania and she gave me some great places for us to visit like, the Phipps Conservatory, the incline at Mt. Washington and the Pittsburgh Zoo ( I think that the hubby would like the aquarium). It is hard to believe that it has been almost a year since our wedding, but I can not wait for our time away. Even though I want to see somethings while we are there, I really just want to relax. If  you know any great places to go or see in the state of  Pennsylvania let me know. We are looking at taking some three day weekend trips in the summer and maybe a week long trip to the beach in the fall.  Do you have any plans for trips anytime soon or this summer? Share we might want to g...
