Sweeping Through Life

After the events that took place on February 1, I went to a follow up doctors appointment the next day. Once at the doctors appointment my doctor and I went over what had been happening over the past few weeks and days. My doctor decided that due to my swelling and the health of the baby I should be induced. I was not surprised since we had talked about me being induced on February 10, five days before her due date. My doctor left the room to make arrangements and then came back and stated that she would see me at the hospital at 10:00 pm that night. I responded with a little weak......"OK", but I was think "OMG...tonight?!!". I left the doctors office and called my husband who was sleeping to let him know what was going on. I knew that I would have to call him back once I hung up so that I made sure he heard me. I called my mom and let her know. Our birth story begins on February 2, 2012. I woke up on that Wednesday morning about 7:30am to get ready for my doctors appointment and noticed that my night gown felt wet. I rolled over and asked the hubby if he had spilled something in the bed. He of course said no and said that I urinated the bed. Which I was sure that I did not do. I got out of the bed and noticed a wet spot in on the sheets. I immediately thought my "water" was leaking. After all of my investigating, I finally called my OB/GYN office to speak to my doctor. Once speaking to her, she told me to not to come to my doctors appointment but immediately to go to the hospital to get checked out.  I rewoke the hubby and told him what the doctor said. I took a shower, put on the outfit that I had picked out to wear to the hospital when I was in labor, grabbed my bag and away we went. Girl Announcing the arrival of our beautiful baby girl Gabrielle . She arrived a little bit early and kinda unexpectedly but well timed. She arrived on February 3, 2012 at 8:05 am. We are still getting settled in at home, but I wanted to let you know that she had arrived and I will share our story and pictures later.

My line sisters Lisa and Lynnette. 9 years ago today I was inducted in the most wonderful sorority in the world, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. with 2 other lovely ladies. I love the sorority today as much as I did when I was inducted. Happy Anniversary Trifecta ( our line name), with many more years of service and sisterhood to come.
