Sweeping Through Life

Miss G went for her 2 month check up this week and she weighed 10 pounds 8 ounces. She was 21 1/2 inches long. She has been sleeping more in her bed. She is not sleeping through the night yet, but she is sleeping for longer periods of time. Most of the people I polled stated that their babies started sleeping through the night between 8-9 weeks, well I guess since Miss G is 8 weeks now I thought she would be sleeping through the night. Every baby is different, I just hope that we have some sort of schedule before I go back to work. Her newborn diapers are like bikinis on her, so we have moved to 1's. She started smiling more while awake. She loves to take baths.

I have not played  " Fill in the Blank Friday"  in along time, so I decided to play today.  Here are my answers for this weeks fill-ins. 1.  My greatest strength is     is being creative. Sometimes my being creative can create some fun and interesting things as well as assist me working through problems and situations. 2.    My greatest weakness is   taking on to many things at once. I thrive on getting things done and being busy, but sometimes it is to much at one time and I do not realize  it until all the deadlines are due . 3.   People always compliment me on      my baby. She is pretty cute and cuddly but I might be a little biased. 4.  If you found me procrastinating you'd probably find me    watching reality TV or playing on Facebook . 5.  The most cozy place in all the world is    my bed. Once settled in my room, the nurses began to start the induction medications. I found something on TV to watch and talked to my mom who was getting comfortable in one of the chairs in the room.  Soon after the medications were being administered, I started to feel some cramping and so that I would not have to deal with it I went to sleep. After being asleep for about 2  hours I was wakened my three nurses asking me to turn over, reaching for other body parts, adding additional medication and checking the baby monitor. Since I was startled so I immediately began asking what was going on. One of the nurse responded that my baby was not responding well to the inducing medications and her heartbeat had dropped. After poking me again and administering more medication they found the little one's heartbeat again. Nana Happy birthday to my mom and Ms. G. nana. Hope you are blessed beyond measure today and every day.

I knew that babies needed lots of things and since my TV room is starting to look like a child care center kinda solidifies it. I did not realize that some of things that need would to make my life much easier. Here are few of Ms. G and I favorite  baby things ( we are trying to carry on where Oprah left off). I am loving the Boppy . I was luck enough to have a friend give me one she was no longer using and I also received one as a shower gift. I have one on each level of the house. Miss G. likes to lay in it and watch  TV with me, like she is really watching it. It is useful for feeding. Another girlfriend gave me this Fisher Price Open Top Take Along swing, that she was no longer using. It is so nice and the little one loves swinging in it.  Love these wipes . They clean so well but are gentle on the little Miss's skin. A Pack and Play is a must for any new mother. I really like the one that I have since it has a changing table attached to it. Dear Baby G, Well we have had four weeks together and it has had its ups and downs. There have been times of discovery, times of frustration and times of joy. I guess this is what our relationship is going to be for the next few months. Just want to let you know no matter how many times I have to change your clothes in one day or wiping spit up off of my shirt or having to change your diaper again after I just put a fresh one on, I still love you. You bring a smile to my face when I look at you and I am still amazed that you came out of me. I know that you are sick of my kissing you and hugging so much, but I want to cuddle with you as long as you are this size, because I hear you wont be this size for long. I love you, Mommy
