Tot Tuesday: I Found a Stick

On Sunday we finally got Miss G, one year old photos taken.  She did well during her supermodel shoot. She was even pleasant when we did a clothing change.  She ran. She smiled. She explored the flowers at the beautiful park. Of course, at the end of the  shoot she found something totally worth all the morning modeling. A stick. The stick seemed  like the most interesting thing of the day. She not only found one stick but she found two. She scratch the pavement with them. She waved them in the air and clapped them together. Once she was done with them she gently placed them back on the ground where she found them. She then looked around, but must not have found anything else interesting so she looked up at me as to say "Let's go" and grabbed my hand.  We walked hand in hand to the car to finish the rest of our day. I must say it was a nice way to start the day.

Thrifty Thursday: Where Did You Get Those Glasses?

I wear prescription glasses everyday. I like them like wearing jewelry. They help express how I am feeling for the day. Glasses can be cute, but prescription glasses can be expensive, even with insurance. I recently purchased 3 pairs of glasses 2 from Zenni Optical and a pair from Coastal. The pair that I purchased from Zenni Optical , was during their buy one get one pair half off. I had purchased from them before, but could not pass up a deal on two pairs of glasses.  I am always satisfied with my purchaes from them. With shipping, I paid a little under $20.00. I purchased a red and a multi-colored pair from them and like them both alot. My recent purchase clear frames from Coastal was may first purchase from them. I have wanted a all clear pair of frames for some time.I made my purchase was made during their first pair free promotion. During this promotion all I had to pay for was the shipping which was less than $8.00. I love my glasses. This site has designer frames at discou

Tot Tuesday: Miss G. Thoughts On Toys

With Christmas and her birthday Miss G., was given lots of beautiful, fun, and educational toys, but she has chosen to explore other options to entertain herself. Such as my kitchen pots, pulling things out of the recycling bin, pulling things out of my work bag or snatching her lunch bag off the kitchen counter. Thus it makes my kitchen and dining room look like a war zone every evening. It is the simplest things, that seem to bring her so much joy. She has made me look at everyday items differently by not just looking at what they are designed to do but what their potential can be. Kinda like Miss G. at this age she has so much potential and allows me to see to see the worlds potential through her eyes.

Happy 15 Months

Where has the time gone? It just seems like we were just celebrating Ms. G first birthday. Over the last few months, Ms. G has learned to walk and at times run, learned to sign please, had an incident report for a boo-boo at childcare and developed a loud scream. We have enjoyed our evening walks together as well as out nightly routine of cuddling before bed. Ms. G is growing and learning more each day and I am amazed how much she retains. As summer approaches, I look forward to all the new adventures we will have.
