This is Your Life Thursday

This week's This is Your Life Thursday was suppose to be something else, but I did not like my topic. Since it is my blog I have decided to change it. This Thursday's topic is..... What 10 Things Can You Do with $5.00? Buy a pair of shoes. Get a hamburger, small fry and a chocolate milk shake from McDonalds. Get 10 rolls of paper towels from Family Dollar. Donate to a good cause. Buy 2 bottles of nail polish. Buy 3 pieces of clothing from the thrift store.  Make a paper airplane. Pump a few ounces of gas.  Buy a bottle of vitamins from CVS. A large pepparoni pizza from Little Cesears This might be the last week that I add a Linky to my Thursday post, since I have not been getting many responses. I have searched other blogs and have noticed that there are several other Thursday series going on. I will make a decision next week about it.

What is Your Best Cleaning Tip? I have a few cleaning tips... hope that you share some of your own... When your husbands t-shirts get worn out and have holes in them, cut them up and use them as cleaning rags. Using vinegar and water as a glass cleaner is eco-friendly and cheap. Create a cleaning routine, it makes cleaning easier. Baking soda and vinegar cleans out a garbage disposal. When you burn a pan, make a paste with baking soda and let sit in the pan. In the morning, wipe out with water and the scalding should come out.

Tell us about Your Marriage Proposal (or dream proposal) I thought that this post would be fitting this week since I will be celebrating my first wedding anniversary this weekend. My proposal was not all romantic as most are, mine was kinda of comical. Well, here is my proposal story.... On Christmas Day 2007, we were all gathered around the tree opening present. Everyone had gotten their presents and I was looking for my present from Mr. J. I sat there for a while and then just gave up and went into the kitchen to finish cleaning up from dinner. Mr. J came up behind me with a book in his hand, stating that he went to jewerly store and they had lost my ring. I began saying a few choice words and hit the book out of his hand and walked away. Little did I know that he had told everyone in the living room what was going on and they were laughing at me. Around 2:00 am in the morning, Mr.J came busting into the bedroom yelling and screaming waking me up out of a dead sleep. As I fumbl...

What is your favorite vacation? I have traveled a lot over the years. This one was hard one. I do not just have one favorite vacation, so I am choosing 2 . My first favorite is any vacation that I have taken with my mom. Some of our favorite places to travel are Viva Las Vegas and Florida. We have fun everytime that we go away together. When we are together we explore the area that we are in, but we always make time to relax, what else are vacations for. My second favorite vacation was my honeymoon. I love the beach and anytime that I get to go there it is great. My husband and I had taken mini-trips before, but on our honeymoon he was a totally different person. He wanted to see everything and pointed out things to me that I would have never looked at before. Relaxing on the beach, even if it was sometimes chilly, was just what we needed after our wedding. Heck, this vacation was also just simply special because it was our honeymoon. Here is one of the photos of the hubby being an...

What is one of the sweetest things that your husband/boyfriend has done for you? Mr. J has done a lot of sweet things, but one of the sweetest things was this past August. I was having pain from my fibroids. The pain was so intense, that all I wanted to do was lay in the bed or the couch. He went bought me some Chicken and Noodles from Bob Evans (which always seems to make me feel better), and kept checking on me to see if I was OK or if I needed anything. When I am sick all I want to do is be left alone, but he kept checking on me. I know that he was trying to be sweet, but it almost became annoying that he was checking on me so much. Even when I was on my way home from my doctors appointment and was prescribed a pain medication he came home early from work to stay with me since I had never taken the medication before. Mr. J can be very caring and this one example of how much he cares.

This is Your Life Thursday

I have been looking at some other blogs and noticed that some of them have a on-going weekly series. I currently participate in the "Fill in the Blank Fridays" on Lauren's site and  I thought I give it a try and see how it goes on my blog. This is series is meant to be light and fun. Let's get started.  This weeks, This is Your Life is......... Do you have a favorite food? I have two favorite foods and one is a dessert. My first favorite is seafood. Mainly I enjoy shrimp, most fried fish, lobster and crab legs. I do not like calms, oysters or squid. I think I could eat seafood almost any night of the week. I usually stock up my deep freezer with all types of fish since it is on sale during the Lenten season. I can eat fish grilled, fried or broiled. The reason that I think that I like it so is because seafood can be light and filling meal. I also think that I  you can flavor and cook the fish in so many ways, it is always something new to experience. Seafood is so...
