Weekend Sweeps and a Hodgepodge of Other Stuff

Weekend sweeps......what weekend sweeps. It was a great weekend to do nothing. On Friday , I got off work and went to line dancing class. After class I came home and relaxed. Saturday , I did a few things around the home while the hubby went to a friends house to watch the game. It was nice, just being around the house with no real agenda. I enjoyed making the decision when I was going to housework or when I was just going to lay around the house and watch HGTv or the Golden Girls marathon in the Hallmark channel. Sunday , I went to church as usual and did more of what I did on Saturday, which was nothing. I just it was a good thing that I did nothing, because it seems that my weekends in October are slowly but surly becoming filled with activities. Have discovered some new shows like Ringer, Revenge and Body of Proof. Anyone else watching them or discovered some other new season show. Have to admit that I am glad that 19 Kids and Counting and the Little Couple are back on. I have to

Wedded Wednesday: You're a Kill Joy

I was told the other day that , "You are a kill joy." by my hubby. I was kinda like what? He began to tell me that I was killing the his joy with experiencing the pregnancy. I am sorry that that I do not want to have my stomach jiggled or be told that you are going to big in a few month. I had to explain to him that those thing are not cute nor do that make me feel cute. Then he had the nerve to act like his feelings were hurt when I explained it to him. I was like "Geesh..." and I am the one with all the raging hormones. To help him feel more apart of my pregnancy process, which I want him to be but on my terms, I had to give the following guidelines ( not sure if they will be followed but I tried).

Weekend Sweeps

Friday Had a good day at work. On that evening, I went to my high school homecoming. When I go to homecoming, I usually march with our alumni band, which I did this year.It was fun. My friend, B, went with me to see the sights since my hubby made such a big deal about. It was fun as usual and it was great to see all of my high school friends. I really am amazed that my band director is still there. Saturday I spent the day with my mom. When she arrived at my house, she came bearing gifts from my favorite bakery. Ummmm........donuts.After the euphoria of the donut, we went to the Country Living Fair . It was really fun and I saw a lot of great ideas.I found a few goodies like candles, fall decorations and some nick-knacks. Here are some photos from our day.... I think that I want to do something like this on my buffet for fall.  We visited a few other stores  after the fair and then had a good dinner at Red Lobster. It was yummy. I was tired after such a busy day and hea

Music Monday: Johnny Gill

I am so excited that Johnny Gill has a new album coming out , " In The Mood" which does not have a release date ( sad face). I wore out his last album, "Let's Get The Mood Right" so much I think that I had to buy two of them. This is the first single off of the album and I can listen to it over and over. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do and have a happy Monday!!

Wanted: Mommy and Wifey Bloggers

blogger There are new bloggers coming out each day. Sometimes there are so many it is hard to keep up. On my previous blog, I did a series called Wedding Blog of the Week , that was very well received, and would like to something similar on this blog. If you are a wifey or mommy blogger or know one that would be good to be featured, let me  know. Please contact me at broomjumpingbride@yahoo.com for more information. Hope to hear from you soon.

Fill In the Blank-----Happy Friday!!!

1.    You should always take time to    spend time with the ones you love . 2.      Laughter       make(s) the world a happier place to be. 3.   I can hardly wait for     the holidays      .

18 Weeks

Size of Baby: Still the size of a turnip. Baby J is about 5 1/2 inches long, the length of a bell pepper, and 7 ounces at this point. Maternity Clothes: Still wearing regular clothes. Need to look into  getting some stretchy jeans. Gender: Still not yet. Have a few more weeks before we find out. Movement: I thought I felt something last week, but I still am not sure I am feeling anything.

Music Monday: Kelly Price

I heard this song in the movie, Tyler Perry's Madea Big Happy Family when I saw it in the opening weekend. I have rediscovered it when I purchased the DVD last weekend. I am glad to hear a new song from Kelly Price, I have not hear anything from her in awhile (unless I just missed it). Hope that you are not "Tired" and are having a happy Monday !!!

Sunday Inspiration: Remember

Do you remember where you were when 9/11 occurred? I do I was working out at the gym as I watched the first tower go down. I remember the disbelief  and sadness that I felt. I just wanted to get home and call all of my friends and family to make sure that they were safe. I remember just sitting in front of the TV for the whole day with Mr. J and watching the events of the day unfold. As we remember on this 10th anniversary of 9/11, let us not forget all those who were lost, all those who were first responders, all of the families and all of those who are rebuilding. Once you choose hope , anything's possible .   ~Christopher Reeve hope

5 Random Thoughts: Kardashian Sisters

My favorite Kardashian sister is Khloe. I think because she is sassy and had speaks her mind. Do you have a favorite Kardashian sister? Can we really compare Kim's wedding to the Royal Wedding? Really? Not quite. Kris Jenner needs to remember that she is their mother and not their sister. Do we think that Rob Kardashian is going to do better than Kim on Dancing with the Stars? I like some of the pieces in the their new line at Sears the Kardashian Kollection .

Fill In the Blank Friday

1.    Somewhere someone is  picking their nose and thinks that no one is watching . 2.     Shoes     is/are my muse. 3.   It would suck if    cable TV     was no more because,   I really would have alot of time on my hands . 4.    Take out and a good movie   is/are my favorite thing about today. 5.   Life is kind of like     a book. There are some many different chapters of it . 6.   If I could have anything I wanted I would want   Baby J to be healthy and happy through all stages of life and that my hubby and I are ready for what is to come  . 7.   A funny thing happened the other day...  I text a friend to see how she was doing and she said she was thinking of me too.    . For more Fill in the Blank fun check out The Little Things That We Do .

Today is my cousin Nikki's b-day. Here I am with her new son Jisaiah in his adorable little suit at church last week. I am really attached to his cuteness, his little feet and his cute little smile.  Hope you have a great b-day Nikki.
