Music Monday: India Arie

Good Monday Morning!!! To kick off the love month, here is one of my favorite love songs. I hope that you enjoy. Have a great day.

Weekend Sweeps

Friday It snowed all day, so many businesses were closed, including my recreational center where my line dancing class is being held. Since I could not attend my line dancing class, I did my new Walk Away the Pounds dvd. It was a workout. I did a little housework and then tried to clear some of the shows off of my DVR. Saturday Went to Kroger and picked up some odds and ends. Hubby and I were suppose to be going sledding, but after an hour of looking for the deflated inter-tube (note to self: keep it inflated so that it is easier to fine) the we could not remember if it was in the garage or in the shed, we gave up. I completed some laundry tasks ( I hate putting up laundry). We ended up making spaghetti together and watching Takers and Grown-Ups . We enjoyed both movies. Sunday Blessed service at church. Was a total relaxing day. We chilled on the couch all day. We watched Wall Street Never Sleeps before our Sunday night line up came on of  The Simpsons, Family Guy and Bob&

Music Monday: Jamie Foxx and Drake

Happy Monday!!! This one of the songs that is in my current Ipod rotation. I am sure my co-workers at tired of hearing me sing along with it at work. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, plus Mr. Foxx  and Drake are not bad to look at . Make today great !!

Commit To Be Fit

I think that I eat healthy. I love to eat fruits and veggies, but I do have a sweet tooth. I know what my problem is.....exercise. I like it and how it makes me feel better, but then I just get lazy and stop working out. This year I have come up with a plan to try   to keep my workouts going. A few weeks ago Target had all of their exercise videos on sale for $10.00. I purchased 3 of them. I got... image found and image found I purchased two of the walking videos. One has some resistance training with it and the other is a 30 minute quick walk. I have also started to go back to the gym more often usually one to two times a week taking water aerobics or walking on the treadmill. I have also signed up for a line dancing class to help with a little more variety. I want to do at least workout 4 times a week, so far I have done 3. Another thing that has helped me over the last few weeks is a calorie counter application that I loaded on my Blackberry. It is called Calorie C

Weekend Sweeps

Friday I had a busy day at work and then relaxed by going to the line dancing class for a little exercise. It was a great workout.  After class and watched a little TV until I fell asleep. Saturday I had the rare opportunity to sleep in until 11:00am. Have not done that in a long time. Spent the day with my mom making a few rounds to the some local stores. Came home and watched the movie Valentine's Day with the hubby. Sunday Had a great services at church. I am the supervisor of the Youth Ushers at my church and we have had some of the kids graduate from high school, which has lead to the lack of ushers. We had some new ushers join at the last practice and had a full row of ushers on Sunday morning. Yeah!!!! After service I came home and made me a sandwich and then took a 2 hour nap (must have been all the excitement from having some many ushers).  I made chicken pot pie for dinner. The hubby and I then watched Bob's Burgers and Family Guy. I had never seen Bob&#

Music Monday: John Lennon

Happy Monday. I thought that this song would be fitting for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I think that part of his dream has been realized, but we still have a ways to go. I hope that you had a great day.

How Did 2010 Go?

A few weeks ago, I blogged soem new years questions. Aarika from The Peach Post asked if I would review how I did with my 2010 goals. Here it goes........ Blog at least 3x per week ---I think I did pretty good about this. I know that every week I did not blog 3x, but I at least did 2. I am going to continue to set this goal for myself. Build a closer relationship with God --I like many others are still working on this. I wanted to read the Bible in a year last year and I did not accomplish that, but I have started that goal this year and it is going pretty good so far. This goal is always going to be a goal in my life, since I will always want a relationship with God and like any relationship there is always room for improvment. Complete some home improvement projects -- Well, we painted this past summer. We wanted to start remodeling our downstairs bathroom, but did not get to it. We are planning on trying to get this goal completed before this summer. Keep my closets together

Wedded Wednesday: Am I A Cheap Date?

After reading an article on  The Nest.com , about fun winter dates that are cheap, I thought to myself, "Am I a cheap date?". After much thought and looking at some of the suggested activities on the list, I discovered that I am a cheap date (at times). Here are some fun winter ideas that they suggest to keep your cold winter days and nights warm..... Stay in and make a warm hearty meal together. Go sleding. ( The hubby and I might do this, this weekend since have snow and are expected to get more) Make over move night. ( We always love a good movie night. We usually fight over who can make the best popcorn) Play a game, be it a board game or Wii, and add a wager. Make it fun, who ever loses make breakfast the next day or cleans the others car. ( The hubby and I play games all the time, but never with a wager. Might have to try this one.) What type of fun winter dates do you and your hubby do? Have fun discovering new things to do together this winter and let us all know

Wedded Wednesday: That Annoys Me

How do to tell someone that you love that they annoy you? Simple..just tell them. The other day my husband and I were watching tv. Of course he was watching Modern Marvels, which is  not something that I regularly watch, but since I was in "the man room" I watched it. About after watching 30 mintues of the show, he decides to pull up the guide, which I did not mind since I was still able to watch the show. Next thing I know, I see watches appear. He had changed the channel. I looked down the couch and said," That is annoying." Of course, he looks at me and says, "What?". What? What..he says. I began to explain that flipping the channels once someone gets into a show was annoying. His reply was, "You did not want to watch it any way." That was no excuse. I sat there for about 2 minutes just looking at the tv, while was still talking to me. Even though he was talking, I did not respond.  I think that he got the hint, since he turned the channel bac

Friday Well, it was New Years Eve. We did what we usually do and had a few friends over for food, fun and a couple hands of spades. It was enjoyable and relaxing evening. I saw some shows that I might have to add to my TiVo list.  Prepared the usual New Year Day, meal of black-eyes peas, cabbage and spinach, boiled potates and barbeque rib tips. Yummy!!! Tried to go to and enjoy the Bath and Body Works annual clearance sale, but when my mom and I got there they were closed.  Came home and watched the movie Salt with the hubby.I was a relaxing day. Sunday Started the year off right and went to church. Hubby and I went to Bath and Body Works and then had dinner one of my favorite resturants El Vaquero. When we got home we watch Dispecable Me.
