Weekend Sweeps

On Friday, was the end of a busy week. I have been trying to get things in order before maternity leave at work. I ended the evening by having some yummy pizza with my friend Bev and having some good conversation.

Saturday, I held usher practice at church with my youth ushers. I had my family and friends baby shower. It was so much fun, but I think that I was a little cranky because I was tired. I appreciate all that my friends did for me. I will post pics and more later. After the shower since my MIL and SIL's were in-town for the shower, they came to the house for few before getting back on the road. Got to finally  relax with the hubby after all the excitement and spent the rest of the evening watching TV and talking about the stuff we were blessed with at the shower.

Sunday, I attended church as usual. I think that I did a little too much on Saturday and was tired after service so I came home and laid down for a few.  I called the hubby before he left work and I asked him to bring me a pastrami and swiss sandwich from Jason's Deli on his way home. The sandwich was so yummy once the hubby brought it home.  Once I was done eating, I began to sort and wash the baby clothes that I received from the shower.  I spent the rest of the evening relaxing with my feet up so that I would not have "cankles".

Hope you had a nice weekend!

I remember the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy like they were yesterday (my son will be 3 this friday). Honestly, it was the absolute best time. Once everything was done (room, clothes, showers, work, etc) I just relaxed and waited for our peanut to arrive. Put your feet up mama and relax!

Glad you had a nice weekend and a fun shower! I'm sure your friends definitely understood your feeling tired, too, and took no offense at all.

glad that you had a nice shower and that you were blessed with things for baby. stinks that you were tired though.

p.s. that sandwich you described sounds so yummy! sounds like something i would actually want for lunch today.

it's great you are still keeping active but i am sure it would be draining..i can't believe you are already thinking of maternity leave...time flies doesn't it. it seems like just the other day you announced your pregnancy...God is soo good!
