Welcome Jisaiah

Congratulations to my cousin Nikki and her husband Jermaine on the arrival of their first child, Jisaiah. I can not say his name correctly, so I have already made up two nicknames, either J or JW (for his first and middle name). I am not sure which one that I am going to use, but it will be just a name for him and I.

When I went to the hospital to visit and held him in my arms, he would only opened his eyes for me. It might be because I talked to him the whole time. He must of liked the sound of my voice. He has freckles like the rest of my mom's side of the family and really big hands. He is a real cutie.
Jisaiah an hour old.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. Wedded Wednesday: Thanksgiving Traditions

With the holidays coming,  I am thinking about how I want to spend them with the hubby. We do the same thing every year for Thanksgiving and make a road trip to spend it with his family. I usually go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving starting at 3:00am and usually come home and sleep the rest of the day. I was looking at starting some sort of new traditions on the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we can do for years to come. Maybe like putting up the Christmas tree (this is my vote), taking an annual holiday photo, doing some shopping together or maybe doing something relaxing like getting a couples massage. Of course, we will have to throw in some football and lots of left overs whatever we decide to do.Building new traditions, will be the traditions that will continue in our family  and define the holidays for years to come.  Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
