Sweeping Reads: Basketball Jones

Author E. Lynn Harris does it again with his current book, "Basketball Jones". This story has as many twist and turns as Mr. Harris's other books such as A Love of My Own and Too Good to be True . This story takes place is New Orleans where Aldridge Richardson, is an interior designer that wants to volunteer his time, make new friends and spend time with the love of his life. The only problem is, being with the love his life comes with a price. The price is losing himself. He must figure out if loving someone totally is worth not loving himself.

I give this book out of 4 out of 5 sweeps. Some parts I thought were predictable, but others kept me on the edge of my seat. I think it is a good summer read.

If there is a book that you would like me to review, contact me.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. Wedded Wednesday: Thanksgiving Traditions

With the holidays coming,  I am thinking about how I want to spend them with the hubby. We do the same thing every year for Thanksgiving and make a road trip to spend it with his family. I usually go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving starting at 3:00am and usually come home and sleep the rest of the day. I was looking at starting some sort of new traditions on the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we can do for years to come. Maybe like putting up the Christmas tree (this is my vote), taking an annual holiday photo, doing some shopping together or maybe doing something relaxing like getting a couples massage. Of course, we will have to throw in some football and lots of left overs whatever we decide to do.Building new traditions, will be the traditions that will continue in our family  and define the holidays for years to come.  Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
