Updates

I have not updated you on some of the things that I had previously posted about. Here we go...

  • My office held their Cake Smackdown a couple of weeks ago. I used a lemon poppy seed cake recipe that I found on the Heather Drive blog that I read. Thanks Heather. Even though I did not win, I got lots of compliments on my cake. There were lots of yummy cakes there to and I tasted several of them.
  • We had a wonderful time at our annual 4th of July party. Two of my sister-in-laws even came in town to share it with us. We had lots of fun and lots of fun. If was full of great conversation and laughter. I must remember that my BFF 's jell-o shots are not my friend.

I think that is all the updates right now. Keep reading, to see what else is going on in my life.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. Wedded Wednesday: Thanksgiving Traditions

With the holidays coming,  I am thinking about how I want to spend them with the hubby. We do the same thing every year for Thanksgiving and make a road trip to spend it with his family. I usually go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving starting at 3:00am and usually come home and sleep the rest of the day. I was looking at starting some sort of new traditions on the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we can do for years to come. Maybe like putting up the Christmas tree (this is my vote), taking an annual holiday photo, doing some shopping together or maybe doing something relaxing like getting a couples massage. Of course, we will have to throw in some football and lots of left overs whatever we decide to do.Building new traditions, will be the traditions that will continue in our family  and define the holidays for years to come.  Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
