What Are You Going to Be for Halloween?

Like I said yesterday, I am having a Halloween party on Friday and can not wait to wear my costume. My mommy made my costume this year, like she did when I was little. My mom told me a funny story about how my costumes became to be. She said that one year she purchasesd me a store bought costume and as she was putting the finishing touches on it, it ripped, right before we needed to be somewhere. She immediately went into action and put together a costume from items around the house, put make-up on my face and we were on our way. My mom stated that every since that moment she had been making my costumes. I think that they are better that way any way, especially when they are made with love.

With all of the things that you can be for Halloween, what are you going to be? According to an article that I found from News 33 these are the best costumes of 2009.....
  • Kate Gosselin-- I think this one is kinda funny. They have the wig just right for her hair.
  • Michael Jackson
  • Balloon Boy
  • Amy Winehouse
  • Lady Gaga
  • iPhone

I am not sure if my guest are coming as any of these, but I can not wait to see. I will be sure to post some photos.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5.   My dream bedroom would be       have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

Wedded Wednesday: Thanksgiving Traditions

With the holidays coming,  I am thinking about how I want to spend them with the hubby. We do the same thing every year for Thanksgiving and make a road trip to spend it with his family. I usually go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving starting at 3:00am and usually come home and sleep the rest of the day. I was looking at starting some sort of new traditions on the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we can do for years to come. Maybe like putting up the Christmas tree (this is my vote), taking an annual holiday photo, doing some shopping together or maybe doing something relaxing like getting a couples massage. Of course, we will have to throw in some football and lots of left overs whatever we decide to do.Building new traditions, will be the traditions that will continue in our family  and define the holidays for years to come.  Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
