See My Garden Grow

The garden is in. We have begun planting a few weeks ago. I actually helped more than I did last year. I helped turn the soil and plan the plants. I usually are only in charge of picking and cooking once the plants are ready. I kinda of enjoyed it, until I started sweating. My husband tried to call it "couples time", I guess. We planted the following:
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Beefsteak tomatoes
  • Roma tomatoes
  • Green and red cabbage
  • Butter lettuce
  • Collard greens
  • 2 types of broccoli
  • Cauliflower
My husband had purchased additional plants for the garden, but we ran out of space. Sometime this weekend we are going to have to extend the garden so that we can add....
  • Green beans
  • More tomatoes
  • Butternut Squash
I have even tried to do a herb garden. I planted basil, thyme, sage and oregano. I really want to try to grow strawberries and pumpkins, I will see if he can make some more room for them in the garden.

These pictures are from the first week of planting. The plants have grown since I have taken these photos, especially with all the rain we have gotten. I will take some more and update later. Are you doing a garden? If so, what did you plant.

PS: Thanks and welcome to all my new followers and old followers alike. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you keep reading.

Love, Marriage and then a _______________

Love, marriage and then a baby carriage. I am preggers. I am 15 weeks pregnant. I know that it is not fall along, but I wanted to share our blessing on my blog. We are very excited about the little one, that we are currently calling Baby J. I have not had much sickness. I have had periods of nausea, but it is not consistent. I have noticed that my body is changing, as it should. I just guess that I was not expecting my body to change that quick.  As my friend, Bev says, " Your growing a life. What do you expect?" She is right. Really, I do not know what to expect. It will be quite a little journey as another part of me sweeping through  life.
