Fill in the Blanks--Birthday

This week The Little Things That We Do chose a birthday theme for Fill in the Blanks. Hope you have a good Friday.

1. Birthdays are fun. I enjoy knowing that I have a special day and I get to eat my most favorite cake in the world from Resechs Bakery.

2. My favorite birthday memory is the birthday party that I when I was 2. It was a my grandparents house. My grandfather and mom helped me blow at the candles. I had a pretty dress on with my party hat. I some presents, but being with my family was the best part....especially since I was the only grandchild at the time.

3. A birthday tradition I (or my family) has is that we always have dinner and I always get a cake from Resech Bakery with lots of beatuiful flowers on it. We use to go out to dinner for birthdays, but over the past few years my mom and I have been asking each other to cook a special meal for one another.

4. If I had to choose one birthday meal to eat for the rest of my birthdays hence forward, I would choose ....this one was hard....to have my mom make her homemade lasagna. It is so yummy and I only get it once a year. She usually makes a large pan, so I end up freezing some of it so that I can some later on when I really want my moms' cooking,.

5. My birthday is on March 20 and I am a pisces.

6. If I could take a birthday trip I would go either to the beach or hit the slots in Vegas.

7. The best gift I've ever received for my birthday was a girls day with my mom and some girlfriends. We all had facials, manicures and massages and then went out to eat. Not only was I relaxed, but I had a great time with my mom and my friends.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1. The last thing I do before going to sleep is turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2. When I can't sleep I watch TV until I fall back to sleep . 3. The first thing I do when I wake up is go to the bathroom . 4. When I'm tired I can fall asleep anywhere. I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5. My dream bedroom would be have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6. If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7. On the Road Again.....

It was between Chicago and the state of Pennsylvania. Well....the state of Pennsylvania won out for our little trip for our first anniversary. It is a shorter drive than going Chicago, especially since we do not want to spend most of our mini-vacation in the car. I have a co-worker that lived in Pennsylvania and she gave me some great places for us to visit like, the Phipps Conservatory, the incline at Mt. Washington and the Pittsburgh Zoo ( I think that the hubby would like the aquarium). It is hard to believe that it has been almost a year since our wedding, but I can not wait for our time away. Even though I want to see somethings while we are there, I really just want to relax. If you know any great places to go or see in the state of Pennsylvania let me know. We are looking at taking some three day weekend trips in the summer and maybe a week long trip to the beach in the fall. Do you have any plans for trips anytime soon or this summer?
