Wedded Wednesday: Christmas Eve

When my hubby and I began dating, he was still traveling home for Christmas. So that we could have spend some of the holidays together, we started a Christmas Eve tradition. We  order Chinese, watch a movie together and exchange gifts. We have continued this tradition through the years. Sometimes we have had to modify it a bit due to him having to work until midnight Christmas Eve or him having to leave early to get on the road home. For the past several years, we have had Christmas together, we still continued with this tradition. I know one year I kinda forgot about it and got a call at 8:00pm on Christmas Eve from the hubby with what he wanted from the Chinese restaurant. Of course, panic hit but lucky the restaurant was still open. We really enjoy this time together, for it gives us time to enjoy the holiday, before all the craziness of Christmas starts. Even as our lives change, we hope to keep this tradition alive, so that we can always have "our little Christmas" together.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

On the Road Again.....

It was between Chicago and the state of Pennsylvania. Well....the state of Pennsylvania won out for our little trip for our first anniversary. It is a shorter drive than going Chicago, especially since we do not want to spend most of our mini-vacation in the car. I have a co-worker that lived in Pennsylvania and she gave me some great places for us to visit like, the Phipps Conservatory, the incline at Mt. Washington and the Pittsburgh Zoo ( I think that the hubby would like the aquarium). It is hard to believe that it has been almost a year since our wedding, but I can not wait for our time away. Even though I want to see somethings while we are there, I really just want to relax. If  you know any great places to go or see in the state of  Pennsylvania let me know. We are looking at taking some three day weekend trips in the summer and maybe a week long trip to the beach in the fall.  Do you have any plans for trips anytime soon or this summer? Share we might want to g...
