Working It Out

Well, I have been back on my weight loss journey. I am have been working out at least 5 days a week, even it is just 30 minutes on the treadmill. I feel better and my clothes are feeling a little different. My achy, athritic knees are feeling good. When I weighed in on Wednesday at work for the Biggest Loser contest and I had lost 5 pounds. Yeah me!!. I continue to get support from my friends and the group that I am in on Facebook.  I continue to watch my food and the calorie counter app that I have on my Blackberry has really help me keep track of my food and exercise. It really helps me make healthy choice and really know I need to exercicse. I continue to be a work in progress as I continue this journey. Anyone else working it out? How and what are you doing?

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. Wedded Wednesday: Thanksgiving Traditions

With the holidays coming,  I am thinking about how I want to spend them with the hubby. We do the same thing every year for Thanksgiving and make a road trip to spend it with his family. I usually go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving starting at 3:00am and usually come home and sleep the rest of the day. I was looking at starting some sort of new traditions on the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we can do for years to come. Maybe like putting up the Christmas tree (this is my vote), taking an annual holiday photo, doing some shopping together or maybe doing something relaxing like getting a couples massage. Of course, we will have to throw in some football and lots of left overs whatever we decide to do.Building new traditions, will be the traditions that will continue in our family  and define the holidays for years to come.  Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
