Weekend Sweeps

Friday

I attended a Party Walk, a  dance competition between sorority and fraternities, with some of my sorority sisters. It was fun. I must say that I felt a little more "mature" than some of the people in the audience, especially when one of the guys did not know one of the songs that was being played from the movie School Daze. If you have not seen it, it is a must to watch.

Saturday

Started the day with the hubby making me some breakfast. It was really sweet of him. I guess I was half sleep when he asked me how I wanted my eggs, but when he called my name from the kitchen I was surprised. We ate breakfast together and caught up on some DVR shows. After my fill breakfast, I went to the gym with my friend Kim and had a good work out I needed it after breakfast.

Had a little girl time with my mom. Went and did a little shopping. She purchased a yummy chocolate covered apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and I got one of the their chocolate cover pretzels with pecans and caramel. Yummy. We topped of the day of having a healthiness, meal at Red Lobster.

After spending time with my mom, I went to celebrate my besties birthday. We went to her favorite bar and she made her famous Jell-o shots. I must say, I really do not like going to the bar, but I suck it up each year for her. She had a wonderful time and I had a good time talking with some of our mutual friends and meeting some some of her friends.

When I got home, I thought I was tired but I got into a cleaning mood and straightened up our bedroom and changed the bed. I really wanted to change the sheet especially since Saturday that Mr. J felt better from being sick for two days.

Sunday

Had a good service at church. Of course I was running late, but was still there in time to hear the preaching.  Later that evening, I spent some more time with my sorority sisters at a program for one of our undergrad chapters. Love my sorors.

Soror A., Soror B. and myself.

Hope you had a great weekend as well.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5.   My dream bedroom would be       have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

On the Road Again.....

It was between Chicago and the state of Pennsylvania. Well....the state of Pennsylvania won out for our little trip for our first anniversary. It is a shorter drive than going Chicago, especially since we do not want to spend most of our mini-vacation in the car. I have a co-worker that lived in Pennsylvania and she gave me some great places for us to visit like, the Phipps Conservatory, the incline at Mt. Washington and the Pittsburgh Zoo ( I think that the hubby would like the aquarium). It is hard to believe that it has been almost a year since our wedding, but I can not wait for our time away. Even though I want to see somethings while we are there, I really just want to relax. If  you know any great places to go or see in the state of  Pennsylvania let me know. We are looking at taking some three day weekend trips in the summer and maybe a week long trip to the beach in the fall.  Do you have any plans for trips anytime soon or this summer? Share we might want to g...
