Weekend Sweeps

Friday

Picture taken on my Blackberry. It is not really clear, but she looked beautiful.
I attend a beautiful wedding of Tracy and Adam. It was rainy for part of the afternoon, but luckily it stopped to have their ceremony outside. Congratulations Tracy and Adam. It is interesting to that you always reflect on your own wedding, when you attend another.

Saturday

Was to attend a picnic but since it decided to storm, I did not. I did some housework and some laundry.

The hubby and I invited one of my bridesmaids and her husband, Alena and Kenneth over for dinner. I made some lasagna, salad and a lemon cake. It was yummy. We ended up watching Big Mommas Like Father, Like Son. It was alright and had some funny parts.

Sunday

Attended church. It was good to see my Pastor at church, since he has been ill for a while.

Since I did so well last week with  grilling, I decided to do it again. I grilled some steaks, hamburgers and hot dogs. I even roasted some potatoes and peppers and mushrooms. I made the hubby a cheesecake with a Oreo crust.

It was nice to just chill. We tried to watch The Dilemma, but it was starting out slow so we did not end up watching all of it.  Since the movie did not work out, we just watched some of the Miss USA pageant and Family Guy.

Hope that you had a good weekend as well.......it is only 3 more days away for us to do it all over again!

You should have stuck it out with The Dilemma! We watched it too and I kind of liked it. Nothing super, but a good weekend movie.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5.   My dream bedroom would be       have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

Wedded Wednesday: Thanksgiving Traditions

With the holidays coming,  I am thinking about how I want to spend them with the hubby. We do the same thing every year for Thanksgiving and make a road trip to spend it with his family. I usually go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving starting at 3:00am and usually come home and sleep the rest of the day. I was looking at starting some sort of new traditions on the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we can do for years to come. Maybe like putting up the Christmas tree (this is my vote), taking an annual holiday photo, doing some shopping together or maybe doing something relaxing like getting a couples massage. Of course, we will have to throw in some football and lots of left overs whatever we decide to do.Building new traditions, will be the traditions that will continue in our family  and define the holidays for years to come.  Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
