Weekend Sweeps

Friday

Just another day at work. Since the hubby has been off since his recent surgery, it was nice to have him home on a Friday night. We ended up ordering Chinese food and watching a couple of movies on HBO. It was a nice way to end the week.

Saturday

Did some house work.

In the evening we went to a wedding reception. The couple Alan and Iyanna, had a small ceremony at a local chapel and then had a small reception at their home. It was a quaint affair with lots of friends, food and drink. The food served was good and so was the cake. I always look forward to wedding cake. We were not able to stay long since, the hubby started to not feel well when the pain meds began to wear off.

Sunday

Went to church. My friend Bev decided to join me at my church this week. It was a nice service.

Came home and cooked dinner. I really wanted some fried chicken. I must say, that I do not like frying chicken since I feel like every time I fry chicken it is not completely done. Since the hubby is so good at frying chicken I asked him to do. Instead of just doing it, he decided that he should give me a tutorial. Wow. Even with all of his instruction, I think I cooked the chicken a little longer than he would have a like. It was still good with my cabbage and rice.

Since the hubby helped with dinner, I decided to make a little dessert. I ended up making some chocolate chip cookie bars. I would show a picture but they went fast.

We spent the rest of the evening doing what we do best resting and watching TV.
