Weekend Sweeps

On Friday, I finished some Christmas shopping and got home in time make the hubby a home cooked meal after him being away on a business trip. I was glad to have him home. We spent the evening just vegging out on the couch. It was a nice way to end the week and start the holiday weekend.

Saturday, attend the dedication brunch for my little cousin Jisiah. He is so cute. After spending time with the family, I went home and began cooking for Christmas dinner. It was nice to cook at a slow pace. I might have to do this every holiday. It makes it less stressful.

Sunday, it was Christmas. I attended church. While at church Jisiah was dedicated during morning service. After church, I  spent the rest of the day with family and friends. We ate, opened presents, laughed and hung out with one another. It was nice. Baby J got their first Christmas present from my mom.

Isn't it cute. I can not wait to put in the finished baby's room. It was a wonderful and relaxing Christmas.

Hope that you had a wonderful weekend as well.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

Wedded Wednesday: Thanksgiving Traditions

With the holidays coming,  I am thinking about how I want to spend them with the hubby. We do the same thing every year for Thanksgiving and make a road trip to spend it with his family. I usually go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving starting at 3:00am and usually come home and sleep the rest of the day. I was looking at starting some sort of new traditions on the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we can do for years to come. Maybe like putting up the Christmas tree (this is my vote), taking an annual holiday photo, doing some shopping together or maybe doing something relaxing like getting a couples massage. Of course, we will have to throw in some football and lots of left overs whatever we decide to do.Building new traditions, will be the traditions that will continue in our family  and define the holidays for years to come.  Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
