Dear Baby J.....

Dear Baby J,

Well, you just turned one on Sunday. Wow, how a year has flown by. I remember the day that we brought you home from the hospital and I thought, now what? I watched you learn how to sit up, roll over, crawl and now beginning to walk. I enjoyed exploring new foods with you as well as watching you learn how to feed yourself. Your smile always lights up your face and makes me feel better. Your laugh is contagious. I still enjoy dressing you up on Sundays, in your pretty dresses. I look forward to our time together every night right before you go to sleep.

To be honest, it made me a little sad when you became one. It made me feel like my little baby is growing up, which you are. We have many more years to explore the world together and I look forward to seeing the world in your through your eyes. If the way that you explore the house is any indication, it is going to be fun.

Baby J, I love you so much that I do not think that I can truly express how I feel. I will tell I will try to be the best mommy that you need me to be.

So, Baby J enjoy being one and I will too.

I love you always,
Mommy

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5.   My dream bedroom would be       have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

Wedded Wednesday: Thanksgiving Traditions

With the holidays coming,  I am thinking about how I want to spend them with the hubby. We do the same thing every year for Thanksgiving and make a road trip to spend it with his family. I usually go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving starting at 3:00am and usually come home and sleep the rest of the day. I was looking at starting some sort of new traditions on the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we can do for years to come. Maybe like putting up the Christmas tree (this is my vote), taking an annual holiday photo, doing some shopping together or maybe doing something relaxing like getting a couples massage. Of course, we will have to throw in some football and lots of left overs whatever we decide to do.Building new traditions, will be the traditions that will continue in our family  and define the holidays for years to come.  Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
