Biggest Loser Top 10

I talked about a few months ago about how I was in the Biggest Loser competition at work. Last week was our final weigh-in and we found out the results yesterday. I was not the Biggest Loser winner, but I was in the Top 10. Yeah!! I ended up losing 11 pounds, over the 12 week period. I just watched what I ate to lose the weight. I was walking when the session started, but between the arthritis in my knees and hot, hot weather, I have not been doing a lot of that lately.  I did not totally reach my goal, but I am proud of what I accomplished and being in the Top 10.  We are starting a new session in 2 weeks and I am planning on setting another goal of 20 pounds before November. Before the next session, starts I am going to get my plan together to accomplish my new goal. At this point, for me I would be happy with any weight loss, because I just want to be healthy.

Do you have any weight-loss goals? Have a good weekend.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

Wedded Wednesday: Thanksgiving Traditions

With the holidays coming,  I am thinking about how I want to spend them with the hubby. We do the same thing every year for Thanksgiving and make a road trip to spend it with his family. I usually go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving starting at 3:00am and usually come home and sleep the rest of the day. I was looking at starting some sort of new traditions on the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we can do for years to come. Maybe like putting up the Christmas tree (this is my vote), taking an annual holiday photo, doing some shopping together or maybe doing something relaxing like getting a couples massage. Of course, we will have to throw in some football and lots of left overs whatever we decide to do.Building new traditions, will be the traditions that will continue in our family  and define the holidays for years to come.  Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
