Tot Tuesday: Family Time

Family time around my house is an organized event, but not always. I try to have some planned event, which are not always elaborate but fun. The most important part is that we spend time together.  I also look for things that do not cost a lot of money so that we can do things more often. Here are some of the things that we do together. Please fee free to share more ideas, I am always look for more.
  • Family movie night. Just had one with Star Wars.
  • Game Night
  • Preparing a meal together.
  • Baking together.
  • Doing an outside activity.
  • Going to the zoo.
  • Going for a walk.
  • Watching a tv show together.
  • Going to the spring football game at OSU.
  • Visiting the aquarium.
  • Going to a local fair.
  • Going to the library.
  • Going to Superhero Day at the local mall
  • Attending Duckling Day at the local library.
Miss G always comes up with ideas which usually involves Chuck E Cheese or Build A Bear, those are special occasion trips.  What do you do with your little one? What suggestions do you have for more family time fun?

I love this and you've given me some nice ideas. We've been working on our backyard together which surprisingly has been a lot of fun. We get quality time together and our dogs get to run around like maniacs.

Fill in the Blank Friday--Sleep

1.   The last thing I do before going to sleep is         turn on the TV and set the sleep timer . 2.   When I can't sleep I      watch TV until I fall back to sleep   . 3.   The first thing I do when I wake up is     go to the bathroom . 4.   When I'm tired I      can fall asleep anywhere. I have fallen asleep in a folding chair, on a couch , outside, sitting up.....let's say when I am tired, I am tired . 5.   My dream bedroom would be       have lots of white linens and would feel very breezy. It would be filled with antiques and have a large sitting area. It would be shabby chic . 6.   If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be        on a porch on a beach house listening to the waves roll in and the feeling the sun rise on my face . 7.   The longest sleep I've ever had was    I a...

Wedded Wednesday: Thanksgiving Traditions

With the holidays coming,  I am thinking about how I want to spend them with the hubby. We do the same thing every year for Thanksgiving and make a road trip to spend it with his family. I usually go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving starting at 3:00am and usually come home and sleep the rest of the day. I was looking at starting some sort of new traditions on the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we can do for years to come. Maybe like putting up the Christmas tree (this is my vote), taking an annual holiday photo, doing some shopping together or maybe doing something relaxing like getting a couples massage. Of course, we will have to throw in some football and lots of left overs whatever we decide to do.Building new traditions, will be the traditions that will continue in our family  and define the holidays for years to come.  Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?
