Music Monday: Wale ft. Miguel

Every time I hear this song on the radio, I found myself sing along or at least car dancing. I hope that you like this song as much as I do.  Have a Happy Monday , especially since I know how hard it is to return to the grind after a long holiday weekend.

Music Monday: Mary Mary

As we get ready to celebrate family, friends and food on this upcoming Thanksgiving, it makes you really think about what you are thankful for. Sometimes with all of the holiday preparations I think that over all sentiment is sometimes lost. I hope this song, helps you reflect on what you are thankful for. Have a great Monday .

27 Weeks

Size of Baby: Babies at this stage usually weigh about 2 pounds, that is the size of a head of cauliflower, but I am sure that Baby J weighs more than that since Baby J was 1.7 pounds at the last ultrasound.  Maternity Clothes: Wearing whatever that I can get into and still trying to be cute. Gender:  What do you think boy or girl? Movement: Lots of movement especially around 8-10pm. I hope that is not a sign that this little one will be a night owl. Sleep: Getting lots every night and sometimes on my lunch hour.

Wedded Wednesday: 1,2, 5 or 20 Children.....What?

Now that I am expecting, I have been looking at baby items and realizing the expense. It is not cheap. Last week, Michelle Duggar announced that she was pregnant with her 20th baby. My first thought was "What!?" and my second thought was too congratulate her.I began to think about all the expense of one child, what about 20 children ......crazy. How many children is too many children? Should society dictate how  many children each person can have? I know some countries already try to regulate this.  Personally, I think that each couple needs to decide what is best for them then adjust their lifestyle to accommodate their choice. The hubby and I have discussed that Baby J might be it for us, but who knows what will happen when Baby J arrives. What do you think?

Weekend Sweeps

On Friday ,  I  spent my day off, since it was Veteran's Day,  by going to the dentist, going to the OBGYN and looking at fabric for the baby's room with my mom. When I was out with my mom I found some good deals at Jo-Ann Fabric and Once Upon A Child. After having dinner with my mom, I went and visited with my friend Bev and Alena and met Alena's new baby Taylor. She was really cute and can sleep through anything. Before I got to sleepy, I headed home to bed. Saturday ,  attended my sorority chapter meeting and then went to church to have usher practice with my youth ushers. After all of my morning  meetings, I went to Babies R Us and started my baby registry. It was totally overwhelming and I do not think I scanned everything that I might need or want. I still need to research baby monitors and breast pumps. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. I came home was tired from the busy day, and made me a sandwich with some chips and plopped on the couch in time to see Th

Music Monday: Esperanza Spalding

Happy Monday !! I had heard of Esperanza, but never had listened to her music. I think that she is very mellow. I hope that she does not mellow you out to much on this Monday. Have a great day!!!

Size of Baby: Baby J is about the length of a cucumber. Baby J is still the same size as last week. Maternity Clothes: Trying to mix it up some with different tops. I feel most comfortable with tank tops ( or AKA wife beaters) and cardigans. I have found some really cute ones at Old Navy. Gender:  Still not telling.  Movement: Lots and lots of movement. Sometimes it feels kinda weird. Baby J is moving alot more than last week and more often when I am working at my desk at w ork . Sleep: Getting more energy back, but some days I really just want to sleep.

Weekend Sweeps

On Friday ,  went line dancing class and came home and relaxed. Saturday ,  went to a birthday party for my friend Rachel's son Everett. He turned one. He was so cute. It was fun watching all the kids playing at the party. It was nice that during the party that the "big kids" were allowed to watch the Ohio State game. Go Bucks!!!! After the party,  made a trip to Sam's Club and then went meet my friend Bev. We went to El Vaquero to eat, my favorite Mexican restaurant, and Burlington to do one of my baby registries. It was really overwhelming looking at all of the baby stuff. What to get and what not to get. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know, I need to do a registry at a couple of other stores. Sunday , went to church as usual. Then spent the rest of the afternoon gathering furniture, including a crib from various people to start to get the baby's room together. Even though I was not doing a lot of the moving, I was still tired from the days event

Music Monday: James Fortune & FIYA

I listen to this song quite often. I really find this song to be uplifting and I hope that you do to. Have a happy Monday !!

25 Weeks

Size of Baby: Went and had another ultrasound this week and Baby J is 1 pound and 7 ounces at this point. From the ultrasound Baby J has long fingers and legs. Maternity Clothes: Wearing whatever I can get over my stomach. Gender: We know but are not telling.  Movement: Dance fever has been taking place in my stomach. Baby J is quite a little mover and I enjoying feeling the movement.  Sleep: Getting more energy back, but some days I really just want to sleep.

Wedded Wednesday: More Than One Wife

I have been watching the show, Sister Wives for the past year and recently saw a show on polygamy on Our America with Lisa Ling. I really found these shows interesting and liked hearing their lives, since it is so different than mine. In watching the shows, I can only think...there is no way that I could live that lifestyle. I am not condemning how they chose to live their lives, but I can not see myself sharing my husband knowingly with another woman or two or three. I was amazed, from what I saw, how loving the these relationships were between each of the wives with the husband and with each other. The honest portrayal of these relationships, showing all the different aspects including the ups and downs, is appreciated.  I guess that whatever type of relationship that you are in, they have their ups and downs and they are different from one another. I know for myself, that my marriage is only for myself and my husband and no one else. Could you be in a polygamist marriage? What are

Weekend Sweeps and OMG

On Friday , went and did my civic duty and passed out political literature for an issue that I care about that will be voted on at the upcoming November 8 election. I enjoyed the exercise, but I was tired from all of the walking. It made for good sleep on that evening. Saturday ,  I did the normal Saturday housework and did a little relaxing.  That afternoon I went to church to assist with our Hallelujah Fall Fest. We had games, food and even have a game truck come out. If you do not know what a game truck is it is a truck that has all different game consoles in it with all different types of games. I really enjoyed exploring the game truck and think  that I had more fun in it than some of the kids. It was a really fun event and I hope that it gets bigger next year. After attending that event, I came home and watched HGtv, loving the High Low Project show,  until I went to bed. Sunday , went to church and it was really blessed service.Came home and the hubby made tacos...my favorite.
